The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned dark. A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.

天上的眾星羣宿都不發光；日頭一出就變黑暗，月亮也不放光。

日頭必變為黑暗，月亮必變為血色，在永恆主大而可畏懼的日子未到以前。

牠們一來，地震動，天搖撼，日月昏暗，星辰收回其光輝。

第一位吹了號筒；就有雹子跟火攙雜着血丟在地上。地的三分之一燒掉了，樹的三分之一燒掉了，一切青草也燒掉了。第二位天使吹了號筒；就有彷彿被火燒着的大山丟到海中。海的三分之一變了血；海中有性命被創造之物死了三分之一；船隻也毁壞了三分之一。第三位天使吹了號筒；就有彷彿火把燒着的大星從天上墜下來，墜在江河的三分之一和眾水之泉源上。這星名叫苦堇。眾水的三分之一變了苦堇。因水變苦，就有許多人由於這些水而死。第四位天使吹了號筒；日頭的三分之一、月亮的三分之一、星晨的三分之一、就被擊打，以致日月星的三分之一都變了黑，白晝的三分之一沒有光，黑夜也是這樣。

日月昏暗，星辰收回其光輝。

永恆主發神諭說；將來此地全部的人其中兩分必被剪除而死去，只有三分之一得以存留。我必使這三分之一經過火，我必熬煉他們，像人熬煉銀子；試煉他們，像試煉金子。他們就必呼求我的名，我就應他們。我要說：「他們是我的子民」；他們個個都要說：「永恆主是我的上帝。」

永恆主對摩西說：『你向天伸手，讓黑暗來到埃及地：簡直是一種摸得着的黑暗。』摩西向天伸手，埃及遍地就有黑漆的黑暗烏了三天。三天之久、人彼此都看不見，人也不起來、離開所在之地；惟獨以色列人住的地方都有亮光。法老就把摩西召了來，說：『你們去事奉永恆主，只是你們的羊羣牛羣要放下；你們那些弱小者也可以和你們一同去。』摩西說：『你也要將祭物和燔祭牲交在我們手裏，讓我們可以獻祭給永恆主我們的上帝。我們的牲畜也要和我們一同去；連一蹄也不留下；因為我們要從其中取出來、去事奉永恆主我們的上帝；我們未到那裏之先，還不知道要用甚麼去事奉永恆主。』但是永恆主使法老的心剛硬，不情願讓他們走。法老對摩西說：『你離開我去吧；可要小心；不要再見我的面；因為你見我面那日子，你就得死。』摩西說：『你說得好；我不再見你的面了。』

羔羊揭開了第六個印的時候，我觀看，當時發生了大地震。日頭變黑像毛袋布，整個月亮變得像血。

那不法者之「來臨」是依撒但「所運用的動力」、用各樣虛謊之異能神迹奇事，用各樣不義之誘惑施在趨於滅亡的人身上的，因為他們不接受愛真理的心而使他們得救。

那四個使者就被釋放，就是豫備好了，到了某年某月某日某時要殺人類三分之一的。

『那些日子的苦難一過後，日頭就必變黑，月亮必沒有光芒，星辰必從天上墜下，天上的列強萬象必被搖動。

到了中午十二點、黑暗佈滿了整個地方，直到下午三點。

『在日月星辰上必有迹象，在地上列國人必有困苦；因了海和翻浪之響聲，人都在為難失措中；

這時候大約是中午十二點，黑暗佈滿了整個地方，直到下午三點，日光消失了；殿堂裏的幔子從當中裂開了。

『但是當那些日子、那苦難以後、日頭必變黑，月亮必沒有光芒，

牠的尾巴拖着天上星辰的三分之一，摔在地上。龍站在那將要生產的婦人面前，等她生產了、要吞喫她的孩子。

從中午十二點起，那地方都佈滿了黑暗，直到下午三點。

由於這三樣災殃、就是從馬口中所噴出的火跟煙和硫磺、人類的三分之一都被殺了。

那時月亮必蒙羞，烈日必慚愧；因為萬軍之永恆主必作王，在錫安山、在耶路撒冷、掌權，在敬畏他、的長老面前大有榮耀。

日頭必變成黑暗，月亮必變成血，在主的日子、大而顯赫之日、未到以前。

第四位把他那一碗倒在日頭上，日頭就得權柄、能用火烤人。人被大炎熱一烤，就褻瀆那有權柄掌管這些災殃的上帝之名，並不悔改而將榮耀獻與上帝。

我觀看大地，啊，地沒有定形，混混沌沌；我觀看天，天呢、沒有光。

我使你熄滅時，必將天遮蔽着，使星辰昏暗現悲相；我必用密雲去遮掩日頭，月亮必不發光。天上之光的發光體我必使它們在你上頭都昏暗現悲相；我必將黑暗放在你國內：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。

主永恆主發神諭說：『當那日我必使日、中午就落，使地在大白日天竟黑暗。

在他們、今世的神已把不信之人的心意弄瞎了，以致基督（上帝的像）榮耀之福音之光照不能發曉於他們心裏。
