予應之曰：「公自知之。」渠乃語予曰：若輩來自憂患中、備嘗艱辛、曾藉羔羊之血、自濯其袍、所服皜皜乎不可尚已；

我对他说：“我主，你知道。”他向我说：“这些人是从大患难中出来的，曾用羔羊的血把衣裳洗白净了。

我對他說：「我主啊，你是知道的。」他就對我說：「這些人都是從大患難中出來的。他們用羔羊的血洗淨了自己的袍子，使它們潔白了。

對曰、我主乎、爾自知之、曰、此乃出乎大難而來、曾以羔之血滌其衣而白之矣、

對曰、吾子自知之、曰、彼脫大難、賴羔流血、曾滌厥衣、至於潔白、

I answered,“ Sir, you know.” And he said,“ These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

I told him,“ My lord, you know.” He said to me,“ These are those who came out of the great suffering. They washed their robes, and made them white in the Lamb’s blood.

凡浣滌其袍、得近生命樹、而進聖邑之門者、福矣！

故耶穌亦自殉於邑門之外、俾以其血聖化萬民。

諸兄弟賴羔羊之血、毅然為聖道作證、舍命不渝、從容就死；故能克服頑敵、終獲致勝。

矧以基督無玷之身、憑聖神而自獻於天主之寶血、不更應滌吾人之良心於一切致死之行、俾得昭事永生之天主乎？

與真實無妄之見證、死者中最先復活、而統治世間萬王者、耶穌基督、降爾聖寵、錫爾平安、

以聖道和水、洗之使潔、俾其成聖、為己造就光華燦爛之教會、既無瑕疵、又無縐容、惠中秀外、玉潔冰清。

諸老合奏新歌一曲、其詞曰：誰堪受其書而啟其緘兮、惟爾具斯大德、爾曾自獻為犧牲兮、流爾寶血；贖元元於各種各族兮、萬邦重譯；俾翕然歸返乎天主兮、以成神國；

乃為基督之寶血。基督乃無玷無染之羔羊！

爾中以前亦有屬此類者、今則已賴吾主耶穌基督之名及天主聖神之恩、而洗滌夙穢且受聖而復義矣。

斯時大難、實為創世以來、空前絕後。

伯鐸祿曰：『主決不可為吾濯足！』耶穌曰：『予不汝濯、則汝無與於我。』西門伯鐸祿乃曰：『不惟吾足、且手與首！』耶穌曰：『已浴者第須濯足、而舉身皆潔。爾曹潔矣、顧亦有例外。』蓋彼固知誰將賣之、故云：「爾曹非人人皆潔」也。濯足既畢、復披衣登席、而諭徒曰：『予適所行、爾知其意否？爾呼予曰「師」曰「主、」爾言當矣、予固是也。然予以師以主之身、猶且濯爾之足、則爾等亦宜互為濯足矣。

不寧惟是、吾人雖處患難、心中恆有至樂。蓋知患難所以生堅忍、

予以此語爾、俾爾因予而得平安。爾在人世、固有患難、惟勿因是而餒、予已克勝人世矣。』

勸眾堅心、信道勿移、曰：『吾人欲入天主之國、必須經歷多難。』

爾之憂患、爾之窮乏、吾所知也。雖然、爾實貧而富者也！彼自名為義塞人而非義塞人、實屬沙殫之黨羽者、謗爾誣爾、吾亦知之。

彷彿見一琉璃之海、與火相混；又見諸凡未被獸及厥像厥名之數所克者、凱旋而歸、齊立琉璃海畔、抱天主靈瑟、

吾又見婦人已因暢飲眾聖及諸為耶穌致命者之血、而酩酊矣。吾對之不勝驚訝駭異之至。

且爾等於重重困辱憂患之中、仍能堅忍不拔、篤信不移、此尤為吾儕之所誇耀於天主眾會者也。

啟五緘、則見為天主聖道而致命者之靈魂盤桓於祭臺之下、大聲而呼曰：「嗟夫、神聖、真實、至高無上之主、爾審判天下、伸吾儕流血之冤、將待何時？」於是各賜白袍一件、囑其少候、以待被害同人定數之齊全。
