這些事以後我觀看，見有個門在天上開着；我所聽見初次發出的聲音、像號筒和我說話的、就說：『你上這裏來，我要將此後必須發生的事指示你。』我立刻就在靈境中；見有個寶座安置在天上，寶座上有一位坐着的。那坐着的看來彷彿碧玉和肉紅玉髓；又有虹圍着寶座，看來仿彿綠寶石。寶座周圍有二十四個座位；有二十四位長老坐在座位上；身披白衣，頭戴金華冠。有閃電、響聲、雷轟、從寶座間發出；在寶座前點𤏲七枝火把，就是上帝之七靈。寶座前好像玻璃海，彷彿水晶一般。寶座四圍、在寶座每一面當中、有一隻活物，四面共四隻，前後滿有眼睛。

我聽見在四隻活物中間彷彿有聲音說：『麥子一升「一日工錢」；大麥三升「一日工錢」；油和酒別蹧蹋了。』

我永恆主是顧守葡萄園的；我時刻澆灌它；因恐怕它會受損害，我便晝夜顧守它。
