我夜間觀看，忽見一個人騎着紅馬，站在窪地的桃金孃樹中間；他後面還有紅馬、栗色馬、和白馬。

『不要以為我來是把和平帶到地上；我來並不是帶和平，乃是帶刀劍。

人若該被擄，他就去被擄。人若用刀殺人，就必須被殺於刀。這裏就是需要聖徒的堅忍與信德的地方。

另有個迹象在天上現出來：有一條大紅龍有七個頭十個角；那七個頭戴着七個冠冕；

永恆主啊，求你起來，迎面攻擊他，使他屈身而死；用你的刀解救我的性命脫離惡人，

於是我在靈境中，天使把我帶走到荒野去。我看見有一個婦人騎着朱紅色的獸、滿了褻瀆之名、有七個頭和十個角。

我看見那婦人沉醉於聖徒的血，沉醉於為耶穌捨生作證者的血。我看見了她，就大大驚奇。

由於上帝所賜給他的大權、各族之民、列國之民、各種方言的人就都在他面前戰兢恐懼：他喜歡殺誰、就殺誰，喜歡讓誰活着、就讓誰活着，他喜歡讓誰升高、就讓誰升高，喜歡叫誰降低、就叫誰降低。

我必使巴比倫王的膀臂有力量，將我的刀交於他手中；法老的膀臂我卻要打斷，他就必在巴比倫王面前哼出死傷人那樣的唉哼。我必助使巴比倫王的膀臂有力量，法老的膀臂卻要下垂。我將我的刀交於巴比倫王手中，他必伸出那刀攻擊埃及地，那時他們就知道我乃是永恆主。

王啊，列王之王啊，——天上的上帝已將國度、權柄、能力、尊榮、賜給了你；也將住任何處的世人、以及山野的走獸、和空中的飛鳥、都交在你手中，使你掌權管理他們——王啊，你，你就是這金的頭。

耶穌回答說：『若不是從上頭給了你，你就毫無權柄辦我；故此那把我送交給你的、犯了更大的罪。』

然而我還讓你存立，正為的是要向你彰顯我的大能力，並傳揚我的名於全地。你還向我的人民傲慢，不讓他們走麼？

有禍呀，亞述，我怒氣的棍子！他是我忿怒之杖、在我手中。我打發他來攻擊不拜上帝之國，吩咐他來擊打我所惱怒的人民，來擄掠擄掠物，來掠劫掠劫物，使他們被踐踏、像街上的泥土一樣。

永恆主說：『你豈沒有聽見從遠古我就制定，在古日我就計畫，到現在我就作成，使有堡壘的城荒廢，變為倒壞的亂堆？而其中的居民手力短缺，驚慌慚愧，像田間的菜蔬，像綠草之青青，如房頂上的草，被熱東風燒焦麼？

『人子啊，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒使他的軍隊賣了好大力氣來攻打推羅，以致頭都光禿了，肩膀都磨平了；然而他和他的軍隊之攻打推羅、並沒有從推羅得到甚麼酬勞來報他所賣的力氣呀。因此主永恆主這麼說：看吧，我必將埃及地賜給巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒；他必將埃及的財富帶走，擄掠所可擄掠的，搶奪所可搶奪的：這就可以做他軍隊的酬勞了。為了酬報他所賣的力氣、就是他和他軍隊所為我作的，我必將埃及地賜給他：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。
