Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.

And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.

And it shall come to pass in that day,[ that] the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones[ that are] on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.And they shall be gathered together,[ as] prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.

To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish[ from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed[ are] all they that put their trust in him.

He shall cut off the spirit of princes:[ he is] terrible to the kings of the earth.

When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait,( for the people were distressed,) then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits.

But these five kings fled, and hid themselves in a cave at Makkedah.And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah.

These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which[ sword] proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

( Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and[ in] mountains, and[ in] dens and caves of the earth.

The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill[ the places] with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

Hear this, all[ ye] people; give ear, all[ ye] inhabitants of the world:Both low and high, rich and poor, together.

And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel:[ and] because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which[ are] in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.

And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:

But this[ is] a people robbed and spoiled;[ they are] all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.

[ How much less to him] that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all[ are] the work of his hands.In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.

They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee.
