我看見那位坐在寶座上的，右手拿著書卷，這書卷的兩面都寫滿了字，用七個印封著。

我又聽見一個聲音，好像一大群人的聲音，像眾水的聲音，又像大雷的聲音，說：“哈利路亞！因為主、我們全能的神作王了！

羊羔揭開了第四個印的時候，我聽見第四個活物的聲音說：“你來！”

有閃電、響聲、雷轟從寶座中發出；又有七枝火炬在寶座前點著，這就是神的七靈。寶座前有一個看來好像水晶的玻璃海。在寶座中間和寶座周圍有四個活物，前後布滿了眼睛。第一個活物像獅子，第二個活物像牛犢，第三個活物的臉面像人，第四個活物像飛鷹。

羊羔揭開了第三個印的時候，我聽見第三個活物說：“你來！”我觀看，見有一匹黑馬；騎在馬上的，手中拿著天平。

長老中有一位對我說：“不要哭！看哪，那從猶大支派出來的獅子，大衛的根，他已經得勝了，他能夠展開那書卷，拆開它的七印。”我又看見在寶座和四個活物中間，並且在眾長老中間，有羊羔站著，像是被殺過的。他有七角七眼，就是神的七靈，奉差遣到全地去的。羊羔走過去，從坐在寶座上那位的右手中取了書卷。

於是，在天上神的聖所開了，他的約櫃就在他的聖所中顯現出來。隨即有閃電、響聲、雷轟、地震、大冰雹。

我們看見的聽見的，不能不說！”

我聽見有聲音從天上來，好像眾水的聲音，好像大雷的聲音；我所聽見的聲音，又像琴師彈奏的琴聲。

羊羔揭開了第二個印的時候，我聽見第二個活物說：“你來！”

大聲呼喊，好像獅子吼叫。他呼喊的時候，就有七雷發聲說話。七雷說話的時候，我正要寫下來，就聽見有聲音從天上出來，說：“七雷所說的你要封住，不可寫出來！”
