Then one of the elders said to me,“ Stop crying. Look! The Lion from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has been victorious so that He may open the scroll and its seven seals.”

長老之一遂謂我曰、勿哭、猶大支之獅、大衛之根、已獲勝、以啟此卷、及其七印、

一老謂予曰：「毋哭也！彼猶太之獅、大維根株之萌蘖已戰勝一切、因得展其卷而啟其緘矣。」

Then one of the elders said to me,“ Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

Then one of the elders said to me,“ Do not cry! The Lion of the tribe of Judah has won the battle. He is the Root of David. He is able to break the seven seals and open the scroll.”

And one of the elders said to me,“ Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”

But one of the twenty four elders said to me,“ Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne, has won the victory. He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

Then one of the elders said to me,“ Do not weep. Look, the Lion from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered so that he is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

And one of the elders* said to me,“ Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to be able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

But one of the elders said to me,“ Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”

and one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not; behold, the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath overcome to open the book and the seven seals thereof.

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Then one of the elders said to me,“ Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has conquered; thus he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”

One of the elders said to me,“ Don’t weep. Behold, the Lion who is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome: he who opens the book and its seven seals.”

Then a shoot will grow from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit.

“ The days are coming”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ when I will raise up a Righteous Branch of David. He will reign wisely as king and administer justice and righteousness in the land.In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. This is what He will be named: Yahweh Our Righteousness.

And again, Isaiah says: The root of Jesse will appear, the One who rises to rule the Gentiles; the Gentiles will hope in Him.

“ I, Jesus, have sent My angel to attest these things to you for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright Morning Star.”

Now it is evident that our Lord came from Judah, and Moses said nothing about that tribe concerning priests.

On that day the root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples. The nations will seek Him, and His resting place will be glorious.

concerning His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who was a descendant of David according to the flesh

Judah is a young lion— my son, you return from the kill. He crouches; he lies down like a lion or a lioness— who dares to rouse him?The scepter will not depart from Judah or the staff from between his feet until He whose right it is comes and the obedience of the peoples belongs to Him.

Then I saw the Lamb open one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say with a voice like thunder,“ Come!”

Around that throne were 24 thrones, and on the thrones sat 24 elders dressed in white clothes, with gold crowns on their heads.

This is what the Lord says: Keep your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for the reward for your work will come— this is the Lord’s declaration— and your children will return from the enemy’s land.

the 24 elders fall down before the One seated on the throne, worship the One who lives forever and ever, cast their crowns before the throne, and say:

The revelation of Jesus Christ that God gave Him to show His slaves what must quickly take place. He sent it and signified it through His angel to His slave John,

Then one of the elders asked me,“ Who are these people robed in white, and where did they come from?”

They said to her,“ Woman, why are you crying?”“ Because they’ve taken away my Lord,” she told them,“ and I don’t know where they’ve put Him.”

When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said,“ Don’t cry.”

He crouches, he lies down like a lion or a lioness— who dares to rouse him? Those who bless you will be blessed, and those who curse you will be cursed.

But turning to them, Jesus said,“ Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and your children.

Everyone was crying and mourning for her. But He said,“ Stop crying, for she is not dead but asleep.”
