我看了看，只見有一隻手向我面前伸來，手中還有一卷書卷。他將書卷展開在我面前，前面後面都寫着字：上頭所寫的乃是哀傷悲歎災禍等等。

這一切異象在你們看就如封住的書卷的話。人將這卷書交給識字的，說：『請念吧！』他說：『我不能念，因為是封住着。』

羔羊就來、逕由坐寶座者右手中拿取了。

他執有一卷很小的書卷在手裏，展開着。他把右腳踏在海上，左腳踏在地上。

我聽見在天上、地上、地底下和洋海裏一切被創造之物、以及天地間的萬有、都一直說：『願祝頌、尊貴、榮耀、權勢、歸於坐寶座的和羔羊、世世無窮。』

羔羊揭開了七個印之第一個時候，我觀看，就聽見四隻活物之中有一隻說着話像雷轟的響聲，說『你來。』

但你呢、但以理啊，你要把這些話封閉着，把這卷書密封着、到末了時期。而大眾們卻要跑來跑去追求、使知識增長。』我但以理在觀看着，便見另有兩個站立着，一個在河這邊，一個在河那邊。我問身穿細麻服裝、站在河水以上的那人說：『這些奇事的結局、要等幾時才到呢？』我聽見身穿細麻服裝、站在河水以上、向天舉起左右手、指着那永遠活着的主來起誓的那人說：『要經過一個定期，兩個定期，半個定期，到打破聖民權力的事都作完了時，這一切事就都完了。我聽見了，卻不明白；我就說：『我主啊，這些事的結局怎麼樣呢？』他說：『但以理啊，去你的吧！因為這些話是已封閉又密封着、到末了時期的。

那坐着的看來彷彿碧玉和肉紅玉髓；又有虹圍着寶座，看來仿彿綠寶石。

我所聽見那從天上發出的聲音又同我說話，說：『你去把那站在海上地上的天使手中展開着的書卷取過來。』我就走到天使那裏，請他把那很小的書卷給我。他對我說：『你拿着，喫下去；它會叫你肚子發苦，不過在你口中卻會甘甜如蜜。』我就從天使手中把那很小的書卷接過來，喫下去；在我口中果然甘甜如蜜；及至喫完了，我肚子就覺得苦了。他們對我說：『你應該再傳神言、論到許多民族、許多邦國、許多種語言的人、和許多王。』

我把神言人的警告綁着，將上帝所指教的封住，以免有學問的人閱讀它。

所說暮暮朝朝所見的景象乃是真的；但你要將這異象封住，因為那是關於將來許多年日的。』

從永恆主的冊上查考並叫喚吧，沒有一個不在的，沒有一個丟失伴偶的，因為永恆主親口吩咐了，是他的靈將他們聚集的。
