我見居於座者、右手擎卷、內外書文、緘以七印、

Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals.

我觀之、見有手向我而伸、手中有卷、展於我前、內外皆有文字、其所錄者、哀號慘怛禍患、

所有啟示、於爾則為緘封之書、或付於識字者曰、請讀之、曰、不能、緘封故也、

彼前取卷、自居座者之右手、

手執已展之小卷、右足著海、左足著地、

又聞在天與地暨地下海中受造之物、及其中所有者、僉云、頌與尊與榮與權、歸居於座者與羔、至於世世、

我見羔啟七印之一時、聞四生物之一、其聲如雷曰、來、

但以理歟、爾其封此言、鈐此書、以待末期、將有多人往來、世人增其識見、○我但以理視之、見又有二使、一立河之此岸、一立河之彼岸、其一問河上衣枲衣者曰、此奇異之事、何時始畢、我聞河上衣枲衣者、向天舉左右手、指永生者而誓曰、必歷一載二載半載、迨摧聖民之權已盡、則諸事畢焉、我聞而不悟、則曰、我主歟、此事之終局若何、曰、但以理歟、爾其往哉、因斯言封而鈐之、以俟末期、

視之如碧玉、如瑪瑙、有虹環其座、視之如葱珩、

聞自天之聲復語我曰、立於海及地之使者、手執已展之小卷、汝往取之、我遂就使者曰、以小卷予我、彼則曰、取而食之、必苦爾腹、在爾口則甘如蜜、於是我自使者之手取小卷食之、在口甘如蜜、既食、我腹則苦、又語我曰、爾當復指諸民諸邦諸方諸王而預言、

爾其束證詞、緘法律、授我門人、

所示爾晝夜日數之異象乃真、惟當封之、蓋關乎多日之後也、

爾其察耶和華之書而誦之、在此罔缺、無有不偶、耶和華口已命之、其神已集之、
