又見位於寶座者、右手執一卷、內外俱有文字七印緘焉。

Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals.

我观看，看见一只手向我伸过来，手中有一卷书卷。他把书卷在我面前展开，书卷内外都写上字，写的是哀歌、悲叹和灾祸。

对你们来说，整个异象就像密封的书卷的话，人把这书卷交给识字的，说：“请念吧！”他必回答：“我不能念，因为它是密封的。”

羊羔走过去，从坐在宝座上那位的右手中取了书卷。

手里拿着展开的小书卷。他的右脚踏在海上，左脚踏在地上，

我又听见在天上、地上、地底下和海里的一切被造之物，以及天地间的万有，都说：“愿颂赞、尊贵、荣耀、能力，都归给坐在宝座上的那一位和羊羔，直到永永远远！”

羊羔揭开了七印的第一个印的时候，我观看，就听见四个活物中的一个，发出好像雷轰的声响，说：“你来！”

但以理啊！你要隐藏这些话，把这书密封，直到末期，必有许多人来往奔跑，知识增多。”我但以理观看，看见另有两个天使，一个站在河岸的这边，一个站在河岸的那边。有一个问那身穿细麻衣、站在河水以上的人，说：“这些奇异的事的结局几时才到呢？”我听见那身穿细麻衣、站在河水以上的人，向天举起左右手，指着活到永远的主起誓，说：“要经过一载、二载、半载（“一载、二载、半载”或译：“一个时期、多个时期、半个时期”）；在他们完全粉碎圣民的势力的时候，这一切事就都要完成。”我听见，却不明白，我就问：“我主啊，这些事的结局是怎样呢？”他回答：“但以理啊！你只管去吧，因为这些话已经隐藏密封，直到末期。

那位坐着的，看来好像碧玉和红宝石，又有彩虹围绕着宝座，看来好像绿宝石。

我先前听见那从天上来的声音又对我说：“你去，把那站在海上和地上的天使手中展开的书卷拿过来。”我就走到天使那里，请他把小书卷给我。他对我说：“你拿着，吃下去。它必使你肚子苦涩，但是口里却好像蜜一样甘甜。”我把小书卷从天使手中拿过来，吃了，在口里果然甘甜如蜜；但是吃完之后，我肚子就觉得苦涩。他们又对我说：“论到许多民族、邦国、方言和君王，你必须再说预言。”

你要卷起律法书，在我的门徒中间封住训诲。

关于所说二千三百个晚上和早晨的异象是真的，但你要把这异象封住，因为那是关于将来许多的年日的。”

你们要查考和阅读耶和华的书卷；这些都无一缺少，也没有一个是没有伴偶的，因为他的口（按照《马索拉文本》，“他的口”作“我的口”；现参照《死海古卷》和其他古译本翻译）已吩咐了，他的灵已把它们聚集。
