接著，我看見坐在寶座上的那位右手拿著一卷內外寫著字、用七個印封住的書。

我見居於座者、右手擎卷、內外書文、緘以七印、

我觀坐位者、右執册、內外有文字、緘以七印、

我見坐寶座者、右手執卷、內外有文字、緘以七印、

又見位於寶座者、右手執一卷、內外俱有文字七印緘焉。

Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals.

這時我看見一隻手向我伸來，手中拿著書卷。那隻手把那書卷打開，書卷的兩面都寫滿了哀傷、歎息、悲痛的話。

對你們而言，所有的啟示都好像封了印的書卷。你們把書卷交給識字的人讀，他會說：「我不能讀，這書卷是封著的。」

那羔羊走上前去，從坐在寶座上的那位右手中接過書卷。

手中拿著一卷打開了的小書卷，右腳踏在海中，左腳踏在地上。

我又聽到天上、地上、地底下和海洋中一切被造之物同聲說：「願頌讚、尊貴、榮耀和權柄都歸於坐在寶座上的那位和羔羊，直到永永遠遠！」

然後，我看見羔羊揭開七印中的第一印，那時我聽見四個活物中的一個用如雷的聲音說：「來！」

但以理啊，這些話要保密，要把這書封起來，直到末了。許多人必四處探究，因而知識必增多。」我但以理觀看，見另有兩個人分別站在河的兩岸。其中一人問身穿細麻衣、站在河水之上的人：「這奇異的事何時才應驗呢？」我聽見身穿細麻衣、站在河水之上的人向天舉起雙手，憑永活者起誓說：「再過三年半，等摧毀聖民的權勢結束時，這一切事都要成就。」我聽見這話，卻不明白，就問他：「我主啊，這些事的結局會怎樣呢？」他說：「但以理啊，你走吧，因為這些事要保密，要被封起來，一直到末了。

閃耀著碧玉和紅寶石般的光彩。有一道翡翠般的彩虹圍繞著寶座。

先前從天上對我說話的聲音又吩咐我：「你去，從那位腳踏海洋陸地的天使手中把展開的小書卷拿來。」於是，我走到那天使面前，請他將小書卷給我。他對我說：「拿去，把它吃了。你的腹中會感到苦澀，可是你口中會覺得甘甜如蜜。」我就從那天使手中接過小書卷，將它吃了，我口中果然甘甜如蜜，之後腹中覺得苦澀。那天使又對我說：「你必要再對許多民族、國家、語言族群、君王說預言。」

我的門徒啊，你們要把上帝的訓誨捲起來，用印封好。

異象中所說的兩千三百個晝夜是真的。但你要保密，不可告訴別人，因為這指的是遙遠的將來。」

你們要去查考、閱讀耶和華的書卷：以上的動物一個也不會少，無一缺少配偶。因為這是耶和華親口說的，祂的靈必把牠們聚在一起。
