四活物就說：「阿們！」眾長老也俯伏敬拜。

寶座的周圍又有二十四個座位，上面坐着二十四位長老，身穿白衣，頭上戴着金冠冕。

來啊，我們要俯伏敬拜，在造我們的耶和華面前跪拜。

他一拿了書卷，四活物和二十四位長老就俯伏在羔羊面前，各拿着琴和盛滿了香的金爐；這香就是眾聖徒的祈禱。

那二十四位長老和四活物就俯伏敬拜坐在寶座上的上帝，說：「阿們。哈利路亞！」

在上帝面前，坐在自己座位上的二十四位長老都俯伏在地上敬拜上帝，

耶和華啊，尊大、能力、榮耀、勝利、威嚴都是你的；天上地下的一切都是你的；耶和華啊，國度是你的，並且你為至高，為萬有之首。豐富尊榮都從你而來，你也治理萬物。在你手裏有大能大力，你的手使人尊大強盛。我們的上帝啊，現在我們稱謝你，讚美你榮耀之名！「我算甚麼，我的百姓算甚麼，竟然能夠如此樂意奉獻？因為萬物都從你而來，我們把從你的手得來的獻給你。我們在你面前是客旅，是寄居的，與我們的列祖一樣。我們在世的日子如影子，沒有盼望。耶和華－我們的上帝啊，我們預備這許多材料，要為你的聖名建造殿宇，都是從你的手而來，都是屬你的。

眾天使都站在寶座和眾長老，以及四個活物的周圍，俯伏在寶座前，敬拜上帝，

主啊，誰敢不敬畏你，不把榮耀歸於你的名？因為只有你是神聖的。萬民都要來，在你面前敬拜，因你公義的作為已經彰顯了。」

對他說：「你若俯伏拜我，我就把這一切賜給你。」耶穌說：「撒但，退去！因為經上記着：『要拜主－你的上帝，惟獨事奉他。』」

眾王都要叩拜他，萬國都要事奉他。

這些事是我－約翰所聽見所看見的。當我聽見看見時，就俯伏在指示我的天使腳前要拜他。他對我說：「千萬不可！我與你和你的弟兄眾先知，以及那些守這書上的話的人，同是作僕人。你要敬拜上帝。」

每逢四活物將榮耀、尊貴、感謝歸給那坐在寶座上、活到永永遠遠者的時候，

進了房子，看見小孩子和他母親馬利亞，就俯伏拜那小孩子，揭開寶盒，拿出黃金、乳香、沒藥，作為禮物獻給他。

他們就拜他，帶着極大的喜樂回耶路撒冷去，

大衛對全會眾說：「你們應當稱頌耶和華－你們的上帝。」於是全會眾稱頌耶和華－他們列祖的上帝，低頭向耶和華和王下拜。

那火降下、耶和華的榮光在殿上的時候，以色列眾人看見，就在石板地俯伏敬拜，稱謝耶和華：「耶和華本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存！」

然而，由於上帝的恩典，我才成了今日的我，並且他所賜給我的恩典不是徒然的。我比眾使徒格外勞苦；其實不是我，而是上帝的恩典與我同在。

約伯就起來，撕裂外袍，剃了頭，俯伏在地敬拜，

耶和華啊，榮耀不要歸與我們，不要歸與我們；要因你的慈愛和信實歸在你的名下！
