All the angels stood around the throne, and along with the elders and the four living creatures they fell facedown before the throne and worshiped God,

Lord, who will not fear and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All the nations will come and worship before you because your righteous acts have been revealed.

And he said to him,“ I will give you all these things if you will fall down and worship me.”Then Jesus told him,“ Go away, Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.”

Let all kings bow in homage to him, all nations serve him.

I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had shown them to me.But he said to me,“ Don’t do that! All the Israelites were watching when the fire descended and the glory of the LORD came on the temple. They bowed down on the pavement with their faces to the ground. They worshiped and praised the LORD: For he is good, for his faithful love endures forever.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

Then Job stood up, tore his robe, and shaved his head. He fell to the ground and worshiped,

Not to us, LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory because of your faithful love, because of your truth.
