But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness,so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.

I think it right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you,

I am coming quickly! Hold firmly that which you have, so that no one takes your crown.

There you will remember your ways, and all your deeds in which you have polluted yourselves. Then you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that you have committed.
