但主的日子要像贼一样来到；那日，天必在轰然一声中消失，天体都要被烈火熔化，地和地上的万物都要烧尽。

所以，你们要警醒，因为不知道你们的主哪一天来到。你们要知道，一家的主人若知道晚上什么时候有贼来，就必警醒，不让贼挖穿房屋。

你们要知道，一家的主人若知道贼什么时候来，就不容贼挖穿房屋。你们也要预备，因为在你们想不到的时候，人子就来了。”

看哪，我来像贼一样。那警醒、穿着衣服的人有福了；他不至于赤身而行，给人看见他的羞耻。

亲爱的，我现在写给你们的是第二封信。在这两封信里，我都提醒你们，激发你们真诚的心，

弟兄们，你们并不在黑暗里，那日子不会像贼一样临到你们。你们都是光明之子，都是白昼之子；我们不属黑夜，也不属幽暗。所以，我们不要沉睡，像别人一样，总要警醒谨慎。

所以，你们要警醒，因为那日子，那时辰，你们不知道。”

提摩太啊，要持守所给你的托付。要躲避世俗的空谈和那假冒知识的矛盾言论。

所以，我们必须越发注意所听见的道，免得我们随流失去。

你们只要持守那已经有的，直到我来。

你们要谨慎，要警醒，因为你们不知道那时刻几时来到。

那时，你们必追念自己的恶行和不好的作为，就因你们的罪孽和可憎的事厌恶自己。

凡我所疼爱的，我就责备管教。所以，你要发热心，也要悔改。

免得他忽然来到，看见你们睡着了。

我曾给她悔改的机会，她却不肯悔改她的淫行。看吧，我要使她病倒在床上。那些与她犯奸淫的人若不悔改他们的行为，我也要使他们同受大患难。

你从我听到那健全的言论，要用在基督耶稣里的信心和爱心常常守着，作为规范。

当你接纳你的姊姊和妹妹时，你要追念你所行的，自觉惭愧；并且我要将她们赏给你做女儿，却不是按着我与你所立的约。我要坚定与你所立的约，你就知道我是耶和华，使你在我赦免你一切恶行时，心中追念，自觉惭愧，又因羞辱就不再开口。这是主耶和华说的。”

我认为趁我还在这帐棚的时候，应该激发你们的记忆，

我必快来，你要持守你所有的，免得人夺去你的冠冕。

你们在那里要追念那玷污自己的所作所为，又要因所行的一切恶事厌恶自己。
