爾其寓書於樂底嘉教會之守護天神曰：彼至誠無妄為天主忠實見證、又為天主造化之乾元者、有所曉諭於爾：

基督是那不能看见之上帝的真像，超越一切受造之物。

祂是教会的头，教会是祂的身体；祂是源头，是首先从死里复活的，这样祂可以在一切事上居首位。

“你要写信告诉非拉铁非教会的天使，那位圣洁、真实、拿着大卫的钥匙、开了门无人能关、关了门无人能开的主说，

因为上帝的一切应许在基督里都是确实的，所以我们也是借着基督说“阿们”，将荣耀归于上帝。

我是阿拉法，我是俄梅加；我是首先的，我是末后的；我是开始，我是终结。

我看见天开了，有一匹白马出来，马上的骑士名叫“诚信真实”，祂凭公义审判、作战。

天使对我说：“这些话真实可靠。赐圣灵感动众先知的主上帝已差遣祂的天使，将那些快要发生的事指示给祂的奴仆们。”

因此，在地上求福祉的人都必向信实的上帝祈求，在地上起誓的人都必凭信实的上帝起誓。因为过去的苦难已经被遗忘，从我眼前消失了。

“把你所看见的写在书上，然后送给以弗所、士每拿、别迦摩、推雅推喇、撒狄、非拉铁非和老底嘉七间教会。”

他们说：“倘若我们不照你的上帝耶和华说的去做，愿诚实可靠的耶和华作证指控我们！

祂又对我说：“一切都成了！我是阿拉法，我是俄梅加；我是开始，我是终结。我要将生命泉的水白白赐给口渴的人。

“你要写信告诉以弗所教会的天使，那位右手拿着七颗星、往来于七个金灯台中间的主说，

“在耶和华造物的起头，在太初万物被造以前，就已经有我。

我使他统管万民，向万民做见证。

你们当众宣读这封信后，也要交给老底嘉教会宣读，你们也要宣读老底嘉教会转给你们的信。

我希望你们知道，为了你们和老底嘉人，以及许多从未和我见过面的人，我是怎样努力奋斗的，
