“ To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

“ Here is what I command you to write to the church in Sardis. Here are the words of Jesus, who holds the seven spirits of God. He has the seven stars in his hand. He says,‘ I know what you are doing. People think you are alive, but you are dead.

“ And to the angel of the church in Sardis write:‘ The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars.“‘ I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

“ Write this letter to the angel of the church in Sardis. This is the message from the one who has the sevenfold Spirit of God and the seven stars:“ I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive— but you are dead.

“ Write to the angel of the church in Sardis: Thus says the one who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars: I know your works; you have a reputation for being alive, but you are dead.

“ To the angel of the church in Sardis write: He who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars, says this:‘ I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, and yet you are dead.

“ And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,‘ These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars:“ I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.

And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars: I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and thou art dead.

And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

“ To the angel of the church in Sardis write the following:“ This is the solemn pronouncement of the one who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars:‘ I know your deeds, that you have a reputation that you are alive, but in reality you are dead.

“ And to the angel of the assembly in Sardis write:“ He who has the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars says these things:“ I know your works, that you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

however, she who is self-indulgent is dead even while she lives.

John: To the seven churches in Asia. Grace and peace to you from the One who is, who was, and who is coming; from the seven spirits before His throne;

For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

I know your works— your love, faithfulness, service, and endurance. Your last works are greater than the first.

And when you were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive with Him and forgave us all our trespasses.

These are the ones who are like dangerous reefs at your love feasts. They feast with you, nurturing only themselves without fear. They are waterless clouds carried along by winds; trees in late autumn— fruitless, twice dead, pulled out by the roots;

made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!

But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”

because this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found!’ So they began to celebrate.

He had seven stars in His right hand; a sharp double-edged sword came from His mouth, and His face was shining like the sun at midday.

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins

I know where you live— where Satan’s throne is! And you are holding on to My name and did not deny your faith in Me, even in the days of Antipas, My faithful witness who was killed among you, where Satan lives.

Flashes of lightning and rumblings of thunder came from the throne. Seven fiery torches were burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.

saying,“ Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”

Then I saw One like a slaughtered lamb standing between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent into all the earth.

For God sent Him, and He speaks God’s words, since He gives the Spirit without measure.

The secret of the seven stars you saw in My right hand and of the seven gold lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.“ Write to the angel of the church in Ephesus:“ The One who holds the seven stars in His right hand and who walks among the seven gold lampstands says:I know your works, your labor, and your endurance, and that you cannot tolerate evil. You have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and you have found them to be liars.

Indeed, we have all received grace after grace from His fullness,

I didn’t know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water told me,‘ The One you see the Spirit descending and resting on— He is the One who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

After saying this, He breathed on them and said,“ Receive the Holy Spirit.

They inquired into what time or what circumstances the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when He testified in advance to the messianic sufferings and the glories that would follow.

On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and cried out,“ If anyone is thirsty, he should come to Me and drink!The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.”He said this about the Spirit. Those who believed in Jesus were going to receive the Spirit, for the Spirit had not yet been received because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

Therefore, since He has been exalted to the right hand of God and has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit, He has poured out what you both see and hear.

I know your affliction and poverty, yet you are rich. I know the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

“ When the Counselor comes, the One I will send to you from the Father— the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father— He will testify about Me.You also will testify, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
