And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book.

吾懇切告斯書預言之讀者：有敢加一字者、天主亦將加以本書之災；

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll.

Do not add to or subtract from these commands I am giving you. Just obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you.

“ So be careful to obey all the commands I give you. You must not add anything to them or subtract anything from them.

Do not add to his words, or he may rebuke you and expose you as a liar.

“ Look, I am coming soon! Blessed are those who obey the words of prophecy written in this book.”

God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near.

then I will give full vent to my hostility. I myself will punish you seven times over for your sins.

In this way, you say they don’t need to honor their parents. And so you cancel the word of God for the sake of your own tradition.You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote,‘ These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.Their worship is a farce, for they teach man made ideas as commands from God.’”

“ And if, in spite of all this, you still disobey me, I will punish you seven times over for your sins.

then I myself will be hostile toward you. I will personally strike you with calamity seven times over for your sins.I will send armies against you to carry out the curse of the covenant you have broken. When you run to your towns for safety, I will send a plague to destroy you there, and you will be handed over to your enemies.

Though no one is chasing you, you will stumble over each other as though fleeing from a sword. You will have no power to stand up against your enemies.

Never harm or cheat a fellow believer in this matter by violating his wife, for the Lord avenges all such sins, as we have solemnly warned you before.

“ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I am the bright morning star.”

With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused.

And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who did mighty miracles on behalf of the beast— miracles that deceived all who had accepted the mark of the beast and who worshiped his statue. Both the beast and his false prophet were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.

“ Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen— the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s new creation:

must drink the wine of God’s anger. It has been poured full strength into God’s cup of wrath. And they will be tormented with fire and burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb.The smoke of their torment will rise forever and ever, and they will have no relief day or night, for they have worshiped the beast and his statue and have accepted the mark of his name.”

And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.

Jesus replied,“ Every plant not planted by my heavenly Father will be uprooted,

Then the devil, who had deceived them, was thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Then I saw in heaven another marvelous event of great significance. Seven angels were holding the seven last plagues, which would bring God’s wrath to completion.

The seven angels who were holding the seven plagues came out of the Temple. They were clothed in spotless white linen with gold sashes across their chests.Then one of the four living beings handed each of the seven angels a gold bowl filled with the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever.The Temple was filled with smoke from God’s glory and power. No one could enter the Temple until the seven angels had completed pouring out the seven plagues.Then I heard a mighty voice from the Temple say to the seven angels,“ Go your ways and pour out on the earth the seven bowls containing God’s wrath.”So the first angel left the Temple and poured out his bowl on the earth, and horrible, malignant sores broke out on everyone who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his statue.Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse. And everything in the sea died.Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs, and they became blood.And I heard the angel who had authority over all water saying,“ You are just, O Holy One, who is and who always was, because you have sent these judgments.Since they shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets, you have given them blood to drink. It is their just reward.”And I heard a voice from the altar, saying,“ Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, your judgments are true and just.”Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, causing it to scorch everyone with its fire.Everyone was burned by this blast of heat, and they cursed the name of God, who had control over all these plagues. They did not repent of their sins and turn to God and give him glory.Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. His subjects ground their teeth in anguish,and they cursed the God of heaven for their pains and sores. But they did not repent of their evil deeds and turn to God.Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great Euphrates River, and it dried up so that the kings from the east could march their armies toward the west without hindrance.And I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs leap from the mouths of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet.They are demonic spirits who work miracles and go out to all the rulers of the world to gather them for battle against the Lord on that great judgment day of God the Almighty.“ Look, I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! Blessed are all who are watching for me, who keep their clothing ready so they will not have to walk around naked and ashamed.”And the demonic spirits gathered all the rulers and their armies to a place with the Hebrew name Armageddon.Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air. And a mighty shout came from the throne in the Temple, saying,“ It is finished!”Then the thunder crashed and rolled, and lightning flashed. And a great earthquake struck— the worst since people were placed on the earth.The great city of Babylon split into three sections, and the cities of many nations fell into heaps of rubble. So God remembered all of Babylon’s sins, and he made her drink the cup that was filled with the wine of his fierce wrath.And every island disappeared, and all the mountains were leveled.There was a terrible hailstorm, and hailstones weighing as much as seventy five pounds fell from the sky onto the people below. They cursed God because of the terrible plague of the hailstorm.
