天神復示我以活水之川、澄澈如水晶、自天主及羔羊寶座源源而來。

For the Lamb on the throne will be their Shepherd. He will lead them to springs of life giving water. And God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights.For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.

But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”

Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare,‘ Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”( When he said“ living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)

Jesus replied,“ If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.”“ But sir, you don’t have a rope or a bucket,” she said,“ and this well is very deep. Where would you get this living water?

A river brings joy to the city of our God, the sacred home of the Most High.

On that day life giving waters will flow out from Jerusalem, half toward the Dead Sea and half toward the Mediterranean, flowing continuously in both summer and winter.

And he also said,“ It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega— the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life.

The Spirit and the bride say,“ Come.” Let anyone who hears this say,“ Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.

O Lord, the hope of Israel, all who turn away from you will be disgraced. They will be buried in the dust of the earth, for they have abandoned the Lord, the fountain of living water.

I will open up rivers for them on the high plateaus. I will give them fountains of water in the valleys. I will fill the desert with pools of water. Rivers fed by springs will flow across the parched ground.

In my vision, the man brought me back to the entrance of the Temple. There I saw a stream flowing east from beneath the door of the Temple and passing to the right of the altar on its south side.The man brought me outside the wall through the north gateway and led me around to the eastern entrance. There I could see the water flowing out through the south side of the east gateway.Measuring as he went, he took me along the stream for 1,750 feet and then led me across. The water was up to my ankles.He measured off another 1,750 feet and led me across again. This time the water was up to my knees. After another 1,750 feet, it was up to my waist.Then he measured another 1,750 feet, and the river was too deep to walk across. It was deep enough to swim in, but too deep to walk through.He asked me,“ Have you been watching, son of man?” Then he led me back along the riverbank.When I returned, I was surprised by the sight of many trees growing on both sides of the river.Then he said to me,“ This river flows east through the desert into the valley of the Dead Sea. The waters of this stream will make the salty waters of the Dead Sea fresh and pure.There will be swarms of living things wherever the water of this river flows. Fish will abound in the Dead Sea, for its waters will become fresh. Life will flourish wherever this water flows.

“ For my people have done two evil things: They have abandoned me— the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!

Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today.

Oh, that you had listened to my commands! Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea.

Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.

Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them,“ Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before.John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

It shone with the glory of God and sparkled like a precious stone— like jasper as clear as crystal.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.No, I will not abandon you as orphans— I will come to you.

From the throne came flashes of lightning and the rumble of thunder. And in front of the throne were seven torches with burning flames. This is the sevenfold Spirit of God.In front of the throne was a shiny sea of glass, sparkling like crystal. In the center and around the throne were four living beings, each covered with eyes, front and back.

“ But I will send you the Advocate— the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.

And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang:“ Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.”

And they were shouting with a great roar,“ Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!”And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings. And they fell before the throne with their faces to the ground and worshiped God.

This is what the Lord says:“ I will give Jerusalem a river of peace and prosperity. The wealth of the nations will flow to her. Her children will be nursed at her breasts, carried in her arms, and held on her lap.

Then I saw a Lamb that looked as if it had been slaughtered, but it was now standing between the throne and the four living beings and among the twenty four elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which represent the sevenfold Spirit of God that is sent out into every part of the earth.

But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don’t, the Advocate won’t come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment.The world’s sin is that it refuses to believe in me.Righteousness is available because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more.Judgment will come because the ruler of this world has already been judged.“ There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now.When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me.All that belongs to the Father is mine; this is why I said,‘ The Spirit will tell you whatever he receives from me.’
