他要毁灭的最后仇敌就是死亡。

耶和华救赎的民必归回，歌唱来到锡安；永远的快乐必归到他们头上，他们必得着欢喜快乐，忧伤叹息尽都逃避。

你的太阳不再落下，月亮也不消失；因为耶和华必作你永远的光。你悲哀的日子定要结束。

当这会朽坏的变成不朽坏的，这会死的变成不会死的，那时经上所记“死亡已被胜利吞灭了”的话就应验了。“死亡啊！你得胜的权势在哪里？死亡啊！你的毒刺在哪里？”死亡的毒刺就是罪，罪的权势就是律法。感谢上帝，他使我们藉着我们的主耶稣基督得胜。所以，我亲爱的弟兄们，你们务要坚固，不可动摇，常常竭力多做主工，因为你们知道，你们在主里的劳苦不是徒然的。

当因我所造的欢喜快乐，直到永远；看哪，因为我造耶路撒冷为人所喜，造其中的居民为人所乐。我必因耶路撒冷欢喜，因我的百姓快乐，那里不再听见哭泣和哀号的声音。

我又看见一个新天新地，因为先前的天和先前的地已经过去了，海也不再有了。

那时，少女必欢乐跳舞；年轻的、年老的，都一同欢乐；因为我要使他们的悲哀变为欢喜，并要安慰他们，使他们的愁烦转为喜乐。

死亡和阴间也被扔进火湖里，这火湖就是第二次的死。

耶和华救赎的民必归回，歌唱来到锡安；永恒的喜乐必归到他们头上。他们必得着欢喜快乐，忧伤叹息尽都逃避。

以后不再有任何诅咒。在城里将有上帝和羔羊的宝座。他的仆人都要事奉他，

天地要废去，我的话却绝不废去。”

住在锡安、居于耶路撒冷的百姓啊，你必不再哭泣。主必因你哀求的声音施恩给你，他听见的时候就必应允你。

为锡安悲哀的人，赐华冠代替灰烬，喜乐的油代替悲哀，赞美为衣代替忧伤的灵；称他们为“公义树”，是耶和华所栽植的，为要彰显他的荣耀。

既然儿女同有血肉之躯，他也照样亲自成了血肉之躯，为能藉着死败坏那掌管死权的，就是魔鬼，并要释放那些一生因怕死而作奴隶的人。

但主的日子要像贼一样来到；那日，天必在轰然一声中消失，天体都要被烈火熔化，地和地上的万物都要烧尽。

人不过像一口气，他的年日如影消逝。

享受这世界的，不像在享受这世界；因为这世界的局面将要过去了。

我必救赎他们脱离阴间，救赎他们脱离死亡。死亡啊，你的灾害在哪里？阴间哪，你的毁灭在哪里？怜悯必从我眼前消逝。

所以主说：“你们务要从他们中间出来，跟他们分别；不要沾不洁净的东西，我就收纳你们。
