你的日必不再落，你的月必不虧缺；因為永恆主必做你永遠的光，你悲哀的日子已完了。

這能死的既穿上了不死，那時經上所記：『死被吞滅在勝利中』的話便應驗了。死啊！你的勝利在哪裏？死啊！你的毒刺在哪裏？死的毒刺就是罪，罪的勢力就是律法。願感謝歸於上帝，他藉着我們的主耶穌基督、常把勝利賜給我們。所以我親愛的弟兄們，你們要堅定、不搖動，時常充溢出主的工，因為知道你們的勞苦在主裏面不是空的。

不，你們必因我所化造的而永遠高興快樂；因為看哪，我化造耶路撒冷做人所快樂的，化造她的人民為人所高興的。我必因耶路撒冷而快樂，因我的人民而高興；其中必不再聽到哭泣的聲音，也不再聽到哀呼的聲音。

我看見有新的天和新的地；因為先前的天先前的地、已經過去；海也不再有了。

那時處女必以舞蹈而歡樂，年青的和年老的一起歡樂。我必使他們的悲哀變為喜樂；我必安慰他們，使他們從憂愁中得到歡樂。

然後死亡和陰間也被丟在火湖裏。這火湖就是第二次的死。

蒙永恆主贖救的人必返回，必歡呼來到錫安；永遠的喜樂必歸到他們頭上；歡躍喜樂、他們都必得到，憂愁歎息盡都逃走。

一切咒詛必不再有。必有上帝和羔羊的寶座在城中；他的僕人必事奉他，

天地會過去，我的話斷不能過去。

哦，錫安裏的人民、住在耶路撒冷的人哪，你一定不必再哭；他一定因你的哀呼聲來恩待你；他聽見時就要應你。

分派給錫安悲哀的人，賜給他們華帽以代替爐灰，喜樂油以代替悲哀，頌讚之披風以代替暗淡沮喪之靈，使他們稱為義氣之篤耨香，是永恆主所栽種，以使自己得榮美的。

這樣，孩子們既有分於血與肉，他自己也同樣與分於血與肉，這是要讓他藉着死叫那掌有死權的——就是魔鬼——無能為力，並解放那些因怕死而一生受制於奴轄中的人。

但主的日子總必來到；來時就像賊一樣。當那日、天必轟然一聲地過去，星辰必因烈熾而被消毁，地和地上被造之物就不見了。

人好比一口氣；他的年日如同影兒直在過去。

享用世界的、要像不一味享用。因為這世界的形態正在過去。

我必贖救他們脫離陰間的權勢；我必贖回他們脫離死亡。死亡啊，你的災害在哪裏？陰間哪，你的毁滅在哪裏？我看不到須改變心意呀。

所以『主說：你們要從他們中間出來，自己分別出來；不潔淨之物別接觸了；我就收納你們』；
