最后被废除的仇敌就是死亡，

蒙耶和华救赎的人必回归，欢呼着进入锡安；永远的喜乐必临到他们的头上，欢喜快乐要追随他们，悲哀叹息却要逃遁。

你的太阳必不再下落，你的月亮也不再亏缺；耶和华必作你永远的光，你哀恸的日子将会结束。

一旦这会朽坏的穿上那不朽坏的，这会死的穿上那不死的，经上所记的话就会应验了：“死亡被胜利吞灭了！”“死亡啊！你的胜利在哪里？死亡啊！你的毒刺在哪里？”死亡的毒刺就是罪，而罪的权势就是律法。但感谢神，他藉着我们的主耶稣基督，赐给我们胜利！因此，我亲爱的弟兄们，你们要坚定，不可动摇，常常在主的工作中丰足有余，因为你们知道，你们的劳苦在主里不是虚空。

你们要因我所创造的而欢喜快乐，直到永远。看哪！我要创造耶路撒冷作为欢乐之源，创造她的民作为喜乐之泉。我要因耶路撒冷而快乐，因我的子民而欢喜，城中再也听不见哭泣的声音和哀叫的声音；

接着，我看见一个新天新地，因为先前的天和先前的地都已经过去了，海也不再存在了。

然后，死亡和阴间被丢进火湖里，这火湖就是第二次的死亡。

蒙耶和华救赎的人必回归，欢呼着进入锡安；永远的喜乐必临到他们的头上，欢喜快乐要追随他们，悲哀叹息却要逃遁。

将来不再有任何诅咒。神和羔羊的宝座将要在城中，他的奴仆们将事奉他，

天和地将要消逝，但是我的话绝不会消逝。

锡安的民——住在耶路撒冷的人哪，你必不再哭泣！他必定恩待你，他听了你哀求的声音，就必回应你。

去供给锡安悲哀的人——赐给他们头饰代替灰烬，喜乐的膏油代替哀恸，赞美的衣服代替沮丧的灵。这样，他们就被称为“公义的橡树”，是耶和华所栽种的，为要显出他的荣耀。

所以，孩子们既然同属血肉之体，他也照样同有一样的血肉之体，为要藉着死亡来废除那掌握死亡权势的——就是魔鬼，并且释放那些因怕死而终生被束缚为奴役的人。

不过，主的日子要来临，就像贼来临那样。在那日，诸天要轰然一声地消逝，天体将被火焚烧而废除，地和地上的作为也都将被暴露出来。

人好像一口气，他的年日就像影子那样过去。

利用世界的，要像没有充分利用世界的；因为这世界的形态正在消逝。

“所以主说：你们要从他们中间出来，要被分别出来；不要碰不洁净的东西，我就接纳你们”，
