城门白天决不关闭。在那里并没有黑夜。

从来没有人见过神，只有在父怀里的独生子把他彰显出来。

那光来到世界，是普照世人的真光。

为要作外族人启示的光，和你民以色列的荣耀。”

这些事以后，我看见有另一位掌大权柄的天使，从天上降下来，他的荣光照亮了大地。

使所有的人尊敬子好像尊敬父一样。不尊敬子的，就是不尊敬那差他来的父。

因为那光太强烈，我的眼睛就瞎了，跟我在一起的人就牵着我的手，进了大马士革。

在他里面有生命（有些抄本第3、4节或译：“万有是藉着他造的，没有一样不是藉着他造的；凡被造的，都在他里面有生命……”），这生命就是人的光。

耶和华起来，使大地震动的时候，人必进入石洞，进入土穴，躲避耶和华的惊吓和他威严的荣光。

父啊，我在哪里，愿你赐给我的人也和我同在哪里，让他们看见你赐给我的荣耀，因为在创立世界以前，你已经爱我了。

这样，当耶和华起来，大地震动的时候，他们就能进入磐石缝中和岩石隙里，躲避耶和华的惊吓和他威严的荣光。

要进入岩洞，藏在泥土中；躲避耶和华的惊吓和他威严的荣光。

人子要在父的荣耀里和众天使一同降临，那时他要照各人的行为报应各人。
