Now I saw no temple in the city, because the Lord God– the All- Powerful– and the Lamb are its temple.

I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

“ I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God– the one who is, and who was, and who is still to come– the All- Powerful!

But a time is coming– and now is here– when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such people to be his worshipers.

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will not exist any more– or mourning, or crying, or pain, for the former things have ceased to exist.”And the one seated on the throne said:“ Look! I am making all things new!” Then he said to me,“ Write it down, because these words are reliable and true.”

Of course, who can really build a temple for him, since the sky and the highest heavens cannot contain him? Who am I that I should build him a temple! It will really be only a place to offer sacrifices before him.

“ God does not really live on the earth! Look, if the sky and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this temple I have built!

Each one of the four living creatures had six wings and was full of eyes all around and inside. They never rest day or night, saying:“ Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God, the All- Powerful, Who was and who is, and who is still to come!”

with these words:“ We give you thanks, Lord God, the All- Powerful, the one who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and begun to reign.

Jesus said to her,“ Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.

Then I heard the altar reply,“ Yes, Lord God, the All- Powerful, your judgments are true and just!”

Jesus replied,“ Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up again.”Then the Jewish leaders said to him,“ This temple has been under construction for forty- six years, and are you going to raise it up in three days?”But Jesus was speaking about the temple of his body.

Then I saw standing in the middle of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the middle of the elders, a Lamb that appeared to have been killed. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in the Son

For in him all the fullness of deity lives in bodily form,

“ God does not really live with humankind on the earth! Look, if the sky and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this temple I have built!

They sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb:“ Great and astounding are your deeds, Lord God, the All- Powerful! Just and true are your ways, King over the nations!

The Father and I are one.”

Now the first covenant, in fact, had regulations for worship and its earthly sanctuary.For a tent was prepared, the outer one, which contained the lampstand, the table, and the presentation of the loaves; this is called the Holy Place.And after the second curtain there was a tent called the holy of holies.It contained the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered entirely with gold. In this ark were the golden urn containing the manna, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.And above the ark were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Now is not the time to speak of these things in detail.So with these things prepared like this, the priests enter continually into the outer tent as they perform their duties.But only the high priest enters once a year into the inner tent, and not without blood that he offers for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance.The Holy Spirit is making clear that the way into the Holy Place had not yet appeared as long as the old tabernacle was standing.This was a symbol for the time then present, when gifts and sacrifices were offered that could not perfect the conscience of the worshiper.They served only for matters of food and drink and various washings; they are external regulations imposed until the new order came.But now Christ has come as the high priest of the good things to come. He passed through the greater and more perfect tent not made with hands, that is, not of this creation,and he entered once for all into the Most Holy Place not by the blood of goats and calves but by his own blood, and so he himself secured eternal redemption.

This is what the LORD says:“ The heavens are my throne and the earth is my footstool. Where then is the house you will build for me? Where is the place where I will rest?

From his mouth extends a sharp sword, so that with it he can strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod, and he stomps the winepress of the furious wrath of God, the All- Powerful.

For they are the spirits of the demons performing signs who go out to the kings of the earth to bring them together for the battle that will take place on the great day of God, the All- Powerful.
