那城有上帝的榮耀：她發光之體彷彿頂貴重的寶石、像碧玉石、明如水晶。有牆既大又高；有十二個大門，有十二位天使在大門旁；又有名字寫在上頭，就是以色列兒子十二支派的名：

我必帶來金子代替銅，帶來銀子代替鐵，銅代替木頭，鐵代替石頭；我必立和平為你的官長，立公義為你的監督。你國中必不再聽到強暴的事，你境內必不再聽到有毁滅和破毁；你必稱你的城牆為「拯救」，稱你的城門為「可頌可讚」。

『有禍啊！有禍啊！那大城！那披着細麻、紫袍和朱紅袍、用金子、寶石、珍珠、為妝飾的！
