Then I saw“ a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

「看哪！我要創造一個新天新地，先前的事不再被記念，也不再被想起；你們要因我所創造的而歡喜快樂，直到永遠。看哪！我要創造耶路撒冷作為歡樂之源，創造她的民作為喜樂之泉。我要因耶路撒冷而快樂，因我的子民而歡喜，城中再也聽不見哭泣的聲音和哀叫的聲音；

但照著他的應許，我們等候著一個新天新地，有公義居住在那裡。

耶和華宣告：「我所造的新天新地怎樣在我面前長存，你們的後裔和你們的名字也怎樣長存。」

不過，主的日子要來臨，就像賊來臨那樣。在那日，諸天要轟然一聲地消逝，天體將被火焚燒而廢除，地和地上的作為也都將被暴露出來。

接著，我看見一個白色的大寶座和坐在它上面的那一位。地和天都從他面前逃避，連它們的地方也找不到了。

坐在寶座上的那一位說：「看哪，我正在更新一切！」他又說：「你當寫下，因為這些話是信實的、真實的。」

到那日，耶和華必用他嚴酷、巨大、有力的刀，懲罰利維亞坦，就是那逃竄的蛇；懲罰利維亞坦，就是那蜷曲的蛇；並且殺死海中的巨獸。

有四隻巨獸從海裡上來，各個都不相同。

惡人卻像翻湧的海——不能平靜，其中的水翻湧出泥漿和淤泥。

接著，我看見一隻獸從海裡上來。牠有十隻角和七個頭，十隻角上戴著十個王冠，七個頭上都有褻瀆的名號。
