Then I saw“ a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

“看哪！我要创造一个新天新地，先前的事不再被记念，也不再被想起；你们要因我所创造的而欢喜快乐，直到永远。看哪！我要创造耶路撒冷作为欢乐之源，创造她的民作为喜乐之泉。我要因耶路撒冷而快乐，因我的子民而欢喜，城中再也听不见哭泣的声音和哀叫的声音；

但照着他的应许，我们等候着一个新天新地，有公义居住在那里。

耶和华宣告：“我所造的新天新地怎样在我面前长存，你们的后裔和你们的名字也怎样长存。”

不过，主的日子要来临，就像贼来临那样。在那日，诸天要轰然一声地消逝，天体将被火焚烧而废除，地和地上的作为也都将被暴露出来。

接着，我看见一个白色的大宝座和坐在它上面的那一位。地和天都从他面前逃避，连它们的地方也找不到了。

坐在宝座上的那一位说：“看哪，我正在更新一切！”他又说：“你当写下，因为这些话是信实的、真实的。”

到那日，耶和华必用他严酷、巨大、有力的刀，惩罚利维亚坦，就是那逃窜的蛇；惩罚利维亚坦，就是那蜷曲的蛇；并且杀死海中的巨兽。

有四只巨兽从海里上来，各个都不相同。

恶人却像翻涌的海——不能平静，其中的水翻涌出泥浆和淤泥。

接着，我看见一只兽从海里上来。它有十只角和七个头，十只角上戴着十个王冠，七个头上都有亵渎的名号。
