耶和華的話臨到我，說：「人子啊，你要面向瑪各地的歌革，就是米設和土巴的大王，向他說預言。你要說，主耶和華如此說：米設和土巴的大王歌革，看哪，我與你為敵。我要把你掉轉過來，用鈎子鈎住你的腮頰，把你和你的軍兵、馬匹、騎兵都帶走。他們全都披掛整齊，成為大軍，佩帶大小盾牌，各人拿着刀劍；他們當中有波斯人、古實人和弗人，都帶着盾牌和頭盔；還有歌篾人和他的軍隊，北方極遠的陀迦瑪族和他的軍隊，這許多民族都跟着你。「你和聚集到你那裏的軍隊都要預備，預備妥當，你要作他們的守衛。過了多日，你必被差派；到末後之年，你要來到那脫離刀劍、從列國召集回來的人所住之地，來到以色列常久荒涼的山上；他們都從列國中被領出，在那裏安然居住。你和你的全軍，並跟隨你的許多民族都要上來，如暴風刮來，如密雲遮蓋地面。「主耶和華如此說：那時，你的心必起意念，圖謀惡計，說：『我要上那無牆的鄉村之地，到那安靜的居民那裏，他們無牆，無門、無閂，安然居住。我去那裏要搶財為擄物，奪貨為掠物，反手攻擊那從前荒涼、現在有人居住之地，又攻擊那從列國招聚出來、得了牲畜財貨、住在地的高處的百姓。』示巴人、底但人、他施的商人和他們的少壯獅子都對你說：『你來是要搶財為擄物嗎？你聚集軍隊是要奪貨為掠物，奪取金銀，擄去牲畜、財貨，搶奪許多財寶為擄物嗎？』「人子啊，你要因此說預言，對歌革說，主耶和華如此說：我的子民以色列安然居住時，你是知道的。你從你的地方，從北方極遠處率領許多民族前來，他們都騎着馬，是一隊強而多的軍兵。歌革啊，你必上來攻擊我的子民以色列，如密雲遮蓋地面。末後的日子，我必領你來攻擊我的地，我藉你在列國眼前顯為聖的時候，他們就要認識我。主耶和華如此說：我在古時藉我僕人以色列眾先知所說的，不就是你嗎？他們在那些日子，多年說預言，我必領你來攻擊以色列人。」「主耶和華說：歌革上來攻擊以色列地的時候，我的怒氣要從鼻孔裏發出。我在妒忌和如火的烈怒中說：那日在以色列地必有大震動，甚至海中的魚、天空的鳥、野地的獸，和地上爬的各種爬行動物，並地面上的眾人，因見我的面就都震動；山嶺崩裂，陡巖塌陷，一切的牆都必坍塌。我必令刀劍在我的眾山攻擊歌革；人要用刀劍殺害弟兄。這是主耶和華說的。我要用瘟疫和血懲罰他。我也必降暴雨、大冰雹、火及硫磺在他和他的軍隊，並跟隨他的許多民族身上。我必顯為大，顯為聖，在許多國家眼前顯明自己；他們就知道我是耶和華。」「你，人子啊，要向歌革說預言。你要說，主耶和華如此說：米設和土巴的大王歌革，看哪，我與你為敵。

所以，從一個彷彿已死的人竟生出子孫，如同天上的星那樣眾多，海邊的沙那樣無數。

以色列啊，你的百姓雖多如海沙，惟有剩下的歸回。滅絕之事已成定局，公義必如水漲溢。

正如天上的萬象不能數算，海邊的塵沙不能斗量，我必照樣使我僕人大衛的後裔和事奉我的利未人多起來。」

猶大人和以色列人如同海邊的沙那樣多，都吃喝快樂。

米甸人、亞瑪力人和所有東邊的人都散佈在平原，如同蝗蟲那樣多。他們的駱駝無數，多如海邊的沙。

非利士人集合，要與以色列人作戰。他們有戰車三萬輛，騎兵六千，士兵像海邊的沙那樣多。他們上來，在伯‧亞文東邊的密抹安營。
