誰能絕我於基督之愛、或患難、或阨窮、或窘逐、或饑餓、裸裎、或艱危、白刃乎、

爾自稱富有、無所匱缺、不知爾實困苦貧乏、瞽目裸身、我為爾謀、當求煆煉之金於我、則可致富、亦求白衣自衣、以免裸裎、庶無愧怍、求膏膏爾目、則得見、

耶穌舉目視門徒曰、貧者福矣、以上帝國乃爾所有也、

故命富者為善、累積美事、喜以賙濟、

爾稱為猶太人、以律法是依、以識上帝為榮、

堅門徒心、勸之恆信、又言我儕欲入上帝國、必歷多難、

我以此告爾、欲爾以我而安、在世爾有患難、然爾無懼、我已勝世矣、

屢刑諸會堂、強使毀耶穌、攻之益狂、窘逐至外邑、

不第此、所喜又在患難、蓋知患難生強忍、

主之神臨我、膏我、俾傳福音於貧人、傷心者醫之、

懷望以喜、遭難以忍、祈禱以恆、

更以多端誚耶穌、○

即遭難被困間、甚貧而大喜、益彰其厚濟、

耶穌曰、撒但退、記有之、當拜主爾之上帝、獨崇事焉、

凡積財於己、而上帝前不富有者、亦如是、○

我素偕爾、預語我儕必受難、後果如是、此爾所知、

上帝至公、人苦爾者、報之以苦、爾受其苦、則報爾安、與我儕共享、迨主耶穌偕其有能之使、由天昭著、

昔我嘗謗讟、窘逐、狎侮之、第此妄作、乃由不知不信而然、故猶蒙矜恤、

對曰、吾子自知之、曰、彼脫大難、賴羔流血、曾滌厥衣、至於潔白、
