撒但之黨、自謂猶太人而非然者、乃誑耳、我必使之來、拜爾足前、而知我已愛爾焉、

爾知我主耶穌基督之恩、彼原富、為爾而致貧、使爾由其貧而致富、

蓋顯為猶太人者、非猶太人、顯於身之割、非割也、惟隱為猶太人者、誠猶太人、受於心之割、乃割也、在性靈不在儀文、其稱譽也、非由人、乃由上帝、

我所愛之兄弟乎、聽之哉、上帝豈非選斯世之貧者、使富於信、而承其所許於愛己者之國乎、爾乃辱夫貧者、彼富者非挾制爾、曳爾至公庭乎、

似憂而常樂、似貧而富眾、似無有而無不有、○

我知爾諸行、勤勞忍耐、彼惡者爾不能容、自謂使徒而非然者、爾曾試之、知其偽矣、

非謂上帝之言廢也、蓋出於以色列者、非盡以色列人、

誰能間我於基督之愛、或患難、阨窮、窘逐、飢餓、裸裎、艱危、白刃乎、

蓋爾云、我富矣、已獲富有而無所需矣、不知爾乃困苦、堪悲、貧乏、瞽目、裸體、我為爾謀、宜向我市火煉之金、致得富、市白衣自衣、致爾裸體之羞不露、市目膏以膏爾目、致得見、

耶穌舉目視其徒曰、爾貧者福矣、以上帝國為爾有也、

又諭之為善、富於善行、喜於施濟、樂與眾共、

爾名為猶太人、以律自恃、以上帝自詡、

堅門徒心、勸之恆居於道、言我儕入上帝國必歷多艱、

我以此語爾、俾爾於我而安、爾在世有難、然當毅然、我已勝世矣、

又屢刑之於會堂、強使褻瀆、攻之益狂、窘逐之至於外邑、

不第此也、亦樂於患難、蓋知患難生強忍、

主之神偕我矣、蓋彼膏我、以宣福音於貧者、遣我宣告、虜者得釋、瞽者得明、受挫折者得自由、

喜於望、忍於難、恆於禱、

又以多端謗讟之、

即屢試於難中而甚樂、且極貧而益彰施濟之厚、

耶穌曰、撒但退、記有之、當拜主爾之上帝而獨事之、

凡積財於己、而於上帝前不富者亦如是、○

我偕爾時、預告我儕將受難、後果如是、爾所知也、

蓋以苦報夫苦爾者、以偕我之安報爾受苦者、乃上帝之義也、迨主耶穌偕其有能之天使、於火燄中自天顯見、報其不識上帝、不順我主耶穌福音者、

昔我為謗讟窘逐狎侮者、但我所行、乃由不知不信、故蒙矜恤、

對曰、我主乎、爾自知之、曰、此乃出乎大難而來、曾以羔之血滌其衣而白之矣、
