This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly.

For as a young man marries a virgin, so your sons will marry you. As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so your God will rejoice over you.

I will betroth you to me forever. Yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in loving kindness, and in compassion.I will even betroth you to me in faithfulness; and you shall know Yahweh.

For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.

“ Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went out to meet the bridegroom.Five of them were foolish, and five were wise.Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them,but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept.But at midnight there was a cry,‘ Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!’Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.The foolish said to the wise,‘ Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’But the wise answered, saying,‘ What if there isn’t enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut.

“ Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her. Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn over her;

Awake, awake! Put on your strength, Zion. Put on your beautiful garments, Jerusalem, the holy city: for from now on the uncircumcised and the unclean will no more come into you.

Listen, daughter, consider, and turn your ear. Forget your own people, and also your father’s house.So the king will desire your beauty, honor him, for he is your lord.The daughter of Tyre comes with a gift. The rich among the people entreat your favor.The princess inside is all glorious. Her clothing is interwoven with gold.She shall be led to the king in embroidered work. The virgins, her companions who follow her, shall be brought to you.With gladness and rejoicing they shall be led. They shall enter into the king’s palace.Your sons will take the place of your fathers. You shall make them princes in all the earth.

Be like men watching for their lord, when he returns from the wedding feast; that when he comes and knocks, they may immediately open to him.

Go out, you daughters of Zion, and see king Solomon, with the crown with which his mother has crowned him, in the day of his weddings, in the day of the gladness of his heart.

Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Hannah prayed, and said:“ My heart exults in Yahweh! My horn is exalted in Yahweh. My mouth is enlarged over my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation.

Shout for joy to Yahweh, all you lands!Serve Yahweh with gladness. Come before his presence with singing.

Oh come, let’s sing to Yahweh. Let’s shout aloud to the rock of our salvation!Let’s come before his presence with thanksgiving. Let’s extol him with songs!For Yahweh is a great God, a great King above all gods.

When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.

You will see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones will flourish like the tender grass. Yahweh’s hand will be known among his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.

Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of your judgments.
