And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.

The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son,

And there came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls, who were laden with the seven last plagues; and he spake with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the wife of the Lamb.

He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, that standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is made full.

For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy: for I espoused you to one husband, that I might present you as a pure virgin to Christ.

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they that are bidden to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are true words of God.

This mystery is great: but I speak in regard of Christ and of the church.

For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee; and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in justice, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness; and thou shalt know Jehovah.

For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, being himself the saviour of the body.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.And five of them were foolish, and five were wise.For the foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them:but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.Now while the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.But at midnight there is a cry, Behold, the bridegroom! Come ye forth to meet him.Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are going out.But the wise answered, saying, Peradventure there will not be enough for us and you: go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.And while they went away to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage feast: and the door was shut.

Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn over her;

Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.

Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; Forget also thine own people, and thy father’s house:So will the king desire thy beauty; For he is thy lord; and reverence thou him.And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; The rich among the people shall entreat thy favor.The king’s daughter within the palace is all glorious: Her clothing is inwrought with gold.She shall be led unto the king in broidered work: The virgins her companions that follow her Shall be brought unto thee.With gladness and rejoicing shall they be led: They shall enter into the king’s palace.Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, Whom thou shalt make princes in all the earth.

and be ye yourselves like unto men looking for their lord, when he shall return from the marriage feast; that, when he cometh and knocketh, they may straightway open unto him.

Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon, With the crown wherewith his mother hath crowned him In the day of his espousals, And in the day of the gladness of his heart.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy king cometh unto thee; he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass.

And Hannah prayed, and said: My heart exulteth in Jehovah; My horn is exalted in Jehovah; My mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; Because I rejoice in thy salvation.

Make a joyful noise unto Jehovah, all ye lands.Serve Jehovah with gladness: Come before his presence with singing.

Oh come, let us sing unto Jehovah; Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving; Let us make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.For Jehovah is a great God, And a great King above all gods.

When the righteous are increased, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man beareth rule, the people sigh.

And ye shall see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like the tender grass: and the hand of Jehovah shall be known toward his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.

Let mount Zion be glad, Let the daughters of Judah rejoice, Because of thy judgments.

Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: For he will avenge the blood of his servants, And will render vengeance to his adversaries, And will make expiation for his land, for his people.

The upright shall see it, and be glad; And all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

That I may show forth all thy praise. In the gates of the daughter of Zion I will rejoice in thy salvation.

for we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh:
