For they are the spirits of the demons performing signs who go out to the kings of the earth to bring them together for the battle that will take place on the great day of God, the All- Powerful.

Then the kings of the earth who committed immoral acts with her and lived in sensual luxury with her will weep and wail for her when they see the smoke from the fire that burns her up.

Proclaim this among the nations:“ Prepare for a holy war! Call out the warriors! Let all these fighting men approach and attack!Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears! Let the weak say,‘ I too am a warrior!’Lend your aid and come, all you surrounding nations, and gather yourselves to that place.” Bring down, O LORD, your warriors!Let the nations be roused and let them go up to the valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit in judgment on all the surrounding nations.Rush forth with the sickle, for the harvest is ripe! Come, stomp the grapes, for the winepress is full! The vats overflow. Indeed, their evil is great!Crowds, great crowds are in the valley of decision, for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision!

The ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but will receive ruling authority as kings with the beast for one hour.These kings have a single intent, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.They will make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those accompanying the Lamb are the called, chosen, and faithful.”

Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, and on its horns were ten diadem crowns, and on its heads a blasphemous name.Now the beast that I saw was like a leopard, but its feet were like a bear’s, and its mouth was like a lion’s mouth. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority to rule.One of the beast’s heads appeared to have been killed, but the lethal wound had been healed. And the whole world followed the beast in amazement;they worshiped the dragon because he had given ruling authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast too, saying:“ Who is like the beast?” and“ Who is able to make war against him?”The beast was given a mouth speaking proud words and blasphemies, and he was permitted to exercise ruling authority for forty- two months.So the beast opened his mouth to blaspheme against God– to blaspheme both his name and his dwelling place, that is, those who dwell in heaven.The beast was permitted to go to war against the saints and conquer them. He was given ruling authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation,and all those who live on the earth will worship the beast, everyone whose name has not been written since the foundation of the world in the book of life belonging to the Lamb who was killed.If anyone has an ear, he had better listen!If anyone is meant for captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed by the sword, then by the sword he must be killed. This requires steadfast endurance and faith from the saints.

“ At the time of the end the king of the south will attack him. Then the king of the north will storm against him with chariots, horsemen, and a large armada of ships. He will invade lands, passing through them like an overflowing river.Then he will enter the beautiful land. Many will fall, but these will escape: Edom, Moab, and the Ammonite leadership.He will extend his power against other lands; the land of Egypt will not escape.He will have control over the hidden stores of gold and silver, as well as all the treasures of Egypt. Libyans and Ethiopians will submit to him.But reports will trouble him from the east and north, and he will set out in a tremendous rage to destroy and wipe out many.He will pitch his royal tents between the seas toward the beautiful holy mountain. But he will come to his end, with no one to help him.

A third angel followed the first two, declaring in a loud voice:“ If anyone worships the beast and his image, and takes the mark on his forehead or his hand,

While I was watching, that horn began to wage war against the holy ones and was defeating them,until the Ancient of Days arrived and judgment was rendered in favor of the holy ones of the Most High. Then the time came for the holy ones to take possession of the kingdom.“ This is what he told me:‘ The fourth beast means that there will be a fourth kingdom on earth that will differ from all the other kingdoms. It will devour all the earth and will trample and crush it.The ten horns mean that ten kings will arise from that kingdom. Another king will arise after them, but he will be different from the earlier ones. He will humiliate three kings.He will speak words against the Most High. He will harass the holy ones of the Most High continually. His intention will be to change times established by law. They will be delivered into his hand For a time, times, and half a time.But the court will convene, and his ruling authority will be removed– destroyed and abolished forever!

Then I saw heaven opened and here came a white horse! The one riding it was called“ Faithful” and“ True,” and with justice he judges and goes to war.His eyes are like a fiery flame and there are many diadem crowns on his head. He has a name written that no one knows except himself.He is dressed in clothing dipped in blood, and he is called the Word of God.The armies that are in heaven, dressed in white, clean, fine linen, were following him on white horses.

When they have completed their testimony, the beast that comes up from the abyss will make war on them and conquer them and kill them.

After many days you will be summoned; in the latter years you will come to a land restored from the ravages of war, with many peoples gathered on the mountains of Israel that had long been in ruins. Its people were brought out from the peoples, and all of them will be living securely.You will advance; you will come like a storm. You will be like a cloud covering the earth, you, all your troops, and the many other peoples with you.“‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil plan.You will say,“ I will invade a land of unwalled towns; I will advance against those living quietly in security– all of them living without walls and barred gates–to loot and plunder, to attack the inhabited ruins and the people gathered from the nations, who are acquiring cattle and goods, who live at the center of the earth.”Sheba and Dedan and the traders of Tarshish with all its young warriors will say to you,“ Have you come to loot? Have you assembled your armies to plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to haul away a great amount of spoils?”’“ Therefore, prophesy, son of man, and say to Gog:‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: On that day when my people Israel are living securely, you will take noticeand come from your place, from the remote parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a vast army.You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud covering the earth. In the latter days I will bring you against my land so that the nations may acknowledge me, when before their eyes I magnify myself through you, O Gog.“‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: Are you the one of whom I spoke in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days that I would bring you against them?On that day, when Gog invades the land of Israel, declares the sovereign LORD, my rage will mount up in my anger.

By his treachery he will succeed through deceit. He will have an arrogant attitude, and he will destroy many who are unaware of his schemes. He will rise up against the Prince of princes, yet he will be broken apart– but not by human agency.
