地上的眾君王，就是那些與她行淫亂、一同驕奢淫逸的，當看見焚燒她時的煙，就會為她捶胸哀哭。

世上諸王、素與行淫而奢華者、見所焚之煙、則為之哭而擗、

天下諸王、素與巴比倫行淫、專事華靡、見厥火炎炎、必哭之哀、

天下諸王、素與彼行淫、奢侈宴樂、見焚之之煙、必為之悲痛號泣、

世之百王與之共淫、而同享侈泰者、必將目擊其火焰、而號咷大哭；

他们又一次说：“哈利路亚！烧淫妇的烟往上冒，直到永永远远。”

看见烧她的烟，就喊着说：“有哪一个城能跟这大城比呢？”

那时沿海的君王都要从宝座下来，除去朝服，脱下锦衣，披上战兢，坐在地上，不停发抖，为你而惊骇。他们必为你作哀歌，向你说：‘你这闻名之城，航海之人居住，海上最为坚固的，你和居民使所有住在沿海的人无不惊恐，现在竟然毁灭了！

使他们受痛苦的烟往上冒，直到永永远远。那些拜兽和兽像，受了它名字的印记的人，昼夜不得安宁。”

因巴比伦被攻下的声音，地就震动，人在列国都听见呼喊的声音。”

天哪，众圣徒、众使徒、众先知啊！你们都要因她欢喜，因为上帝已经在她身上为你们伸了冤。”

她怎样荣耀自己，怎样奢华，也要使她照样痛苦悲哀。因她心里说：‘我坐了皇后的位，并不是寡妇，绝不至于悲哀。’

遍地都被硫磺和盐所侵蚀，不能耕种，没有出产，连草都长不出来，好像耶和华在怒气和愤怒中所倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉、押玛、洗扁一样，

它的河水要变为柏油，尘埃变为硫磺，大地成为燃烧的柏油，昼夜总不熄灭，它的烟永远上腾，必世世代代成为荒废，永永远远无人经过。

“我使你在列国，在你所不认识的列邦中灭亡。那时，我必使许多民族的心因你愁烦。当我在他们面前举起我的刀，我要使许多民族因你惊恐，他们的君王也必因你极其恐慌。在你仆倒的日子，他们各人为自己的性命时时战兢。

巴比伦为列国的荣耀，为迦勒底人所夸耀的华美，必像上帝所倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉一样；

大声呼叫说：‘砍倒这树！砍下枝子！拔掉叶子！抛散果子！使走兽逃离树下，飞鸟躲开树枝。

原来陀斐特早已预备好了，是为君王预备的；又深又宽，堆满了火和木柴；耶和华的气息犹如一股硫磺使它燃起。

巴比伦要像上帝所倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉和邻近的城镇一样，必无人住在那里，也无人在其中寄居。这是耶和华说的。

义人见仇敌遭报就欢喜，他要在恶人的血中洗脚。

你曾看见的那十个角就是十个王；他们还没有得到国度，但他们要和那只兽同得权柄作王一个时辰。他们同心把自己的能力权柄交给那只兽。

哀号吧，松树！因为香柏树倾倒了，高大的树毁坏了。哀号吧，巴珊的橡树！因为茂盛的树林倒下来了。听啊，有牧人在哀号，因他们的荣华败落了；听啊，有少壮狮子咆哮，因约旦河旁的丛林荒废了。

面向所多玛和蛾摩拉，以及平原全地观望。他观看，看哪，那地有浓烟上腾，好像烧窑的浓烟。
