又說：哈利路亞！燒淫婦的煙往上冒，直到永永遠遠。

看見燒她的煙，就喊着說：「有何城能比這大城呢？」

那時靠海的君王必都下位，除去朝服，脫下花衣，披上戰兢，坐在地上，時刻發抖，為你驚駭。他們必為你作起哀歌說：你這有名之城，素為航海之人居住，在海上為最堅固的；平日你和居民使一切住在那裏的人無不驚恐；現在何竟毀滅了？

他受痛苦的煙往上冒，直到永永遠遠。那些拜獸和獸像，受牠名之印記的，晝夜不得安寧。」

因巴比倫被取的聲音，地就震動，人在列邦都聽見呼喊的聲音。」

天哪，眾聖徒、眾使徒、眾先知啊，你們都要因她歡喜，因為神已經在她身上伸了你們的冤。

她怎樣榮耀自己，怎樣奢華，也當叫她照樣痛苦悲哀，因她心裏說：我坐了皇后的位，並不是寡婦，決不至於悲哀。

又看見遍地有硫磺，有鹽鹵，有火跡，沒有耕種，沒有出產，連草都不生長－好像耶和華在忿怒中所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁一樣－

以東的河水要變為石油，塵埃要變為硫磺；地土成為燒着的石油，晝夜總不熄滅，煙氣永遠上騰，必世世代代成為荒廢，永永遠遠無人經過。

「我使你敗亡的風聲傳到你所不認識的各國。那時，我必使多民的心因你愁煩。我在許多國民和君王面前向你掄我的刀，國民就必因你驚奇，君王也必因你極其恐慌。在你仆倒的日子，他們各人為自己的性命時刻戰兢。」

巴比倫素來為列國的榮耀，為迦勒底人所矜誇的華美，必像神所傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉一樣。

大聲呼叫說：『伐倒這樹！砍下枝子！搖掉葉子！拋散果子！使走獸離開樹下，飛鳥躲開樹枝。

原來陀斐特又深又寬，早已為王預備好了；其中堆的是火與許多木柴。耶和華的氣如一股硫磺火使他着起來。

耶和華說：「必無人住在那裏，也無人在其中寄居，要像我傾覆所多瑪、蛾摩拉，和鄰近的城邑一樣。

義人見仇敵遭報就歡喜，要在惡人的血中洗腳。

你所看見的那十角就是十王；他們還沒有得國，但他們一時之間要和獸同得權柄，與王一樣。他們同心合意將自己的能力、權柄給那獸。

松樹啊，應當哀號；因為香柏樹傾倒，佳美的樹毀壞。巴珊的橡樹啊，應當哀號，因為茂盛的樹林已經倒了。聽啊，有牧人哀號的聲音，因他們榮華的草場毀壞了。有少壯獅子咆哮的聲音，因約旦河旁的叢林荒廢了。

向所多瑪和蛾摩拉與平原的全地觀看，不料，那地方煙氣上騰，如同燒窰一般。
