那时靠海的君王必都下位，除去朝服，脱下花衣，披上战兢，坐在地上，时刻发抖，为你惊骇。他们必为你作起哀歌说：‘你这有名之城，素为航海之人居住，在海上为最坚固的；平日你和居民使一切住在那里的人无不惊恐；现在何竟毁灭了？

他受痛苦的烟往上冒，直到永永远远。那些拜兽和兽像，受它名之印记的，昼夜不得安宁。”

因巴比伦被取的声音，地就震动，人在列邦都听见呼喊的声音。”

天哪，众圣徒、众使徒、众先知啊，你们都要因她欢喜，因为神已经在她身上伸了你们的冤。

她怎样荣耀自己，怎样奢华，也当叫她照样痛苦悲哀，因她心里说：‘我坐了皇后的位，并不是寡妇，决不至于悲哀。’

又看见遍地有硫磺，有盐卤，有火迹，没有耕种，没有出产，连草都不生长，好像耶和华在忿怒中所倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉、押玛、洗扁一样。

以东的河水要变为石油，尘埃要变为硫磺；地土成为烧着的石油，昼夜总不熄灭，烟气永远上腾，必世世代代成为荒废，永永远远无人经过。

“我使你败亡的风声传到你所不认识的各国。那时，我必使多民的心因你愁烦。我在许多国民和君王面前向你抡我的刀，国民就必因你惊奇，君王也必因你极其恐慌。在你仆倒的日子，他们各人为自己的性命时刻战兢。”

巴比伦素来为列国的荣耀，为迦勒底人所矜夸的华美，必像神所倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉一样。

大声呼叫说：‘伐倒这树！砍下枝子！摇掉叶子！抛散果子！使走兽离开树下，飞鸟躲开树枝。

原来陀斐特又深又宽，早已为王预备好了；其中堆的是火与许多木柴。耶和华的气如一股硫磺火使他着起来。

耶和华说：“必无人住在那里，也无人在其中寄居，要像我倾覆所多玛、蛾摩拉，和邻近的城邑一样。

义人见仇敌遭报就欢喜，要在恶人的血中洗脚。

你所看见的那十角就是十王；他们还没有得国，但他们一时之间要和兽同得权柄，与王一样。他们同心合意将自己的能力、权柄给那兽。

松树啊，应当哀号；因为香柏树倾倒，佳美的树毁坏。巴珊的橡树啊，应当哀号，因为茂盛的树林已经倒了。听啊，有牧人哀号的声音，因他们荣华的草场毁坏了。有少壮狮子咆哮的声音，因约旦河旁的丛林荒废了。

向所多玛和蛾摩拉与平原的全地观看，不料，那地方烟气上腾，如同烧窑一般。
