地上的眾君王，就是那些與她行淫亂、一同驕奢淫逸的，當看見焚燒她時的煙，就會為她捶胸哀哭。

世上諸王、素與行淫而奢華者、見所焚之煙、則為之哭而擗、

天下諸王、素與巴比倫行淫、專事華靡、見厥火炎炎、必哭之哀、

天下諸王、素與彼行淫、奢侈宴樂、見焚之之煙、必為之悲痛號泣、

世之百王與之共淫、而同享侈泰者、必將目擊其火焰、而號咷大哭；

地上的眾王都跟她行過淫，住在地上的人也都喝她淫亂的酒醉了。”

因為各國都喝她淫亂烈怒的酒醉了；地上的君王與她行淫，世上的商人因她奢華揮霍就發了財。”

他們再一次說：“哈利路亞！燒淫婦的煙往上冒，直到永永遠遠！”

他們看見了焚燒她的煙，就喊叫說：‘有哪一座城能與這大城相比呢？’

那時所有沿海的君王都必由王座下來，除去朝服，脫下刺繡的衣服；披上戰兢，坐在地上，不停發抖，因你而驚駭。他們必為你作一首哀歌說：你這著名的城，航海之人的居所，在海上堅固有力的啊！你和你的居民素來使驚恐臨到所有住在那裡的人身上，你怎麼絕了跡呢？

他們受痛苦的煙往上冒，直到永永遠遠。那些拜獸和獸像的，以及接受牠名字的記號的人，日夜得不到安息。”

因巴比倫陷落的響聲，地就震動；列國都聽見它的哀叫聲。

天哪，你要因她歡喜！眾聖徒、眾使徒、眾先知啊，你們也要因她歡喜！因為神已經在她身上為你們伸了冤。”

她怎樣炫耀自己，怎樣奢華揮霍，你們也要怎樣給她痛苦悲哀。因為她心裡常常說：‘我坐著作女王，我不是寡婦，決不會看見悲哀。’

又看見了遍地有硫磺，有鹽鹵，有火燒，沒有播種，沒有出產，寸草不生，好像耶和華在烈怒和怒火中毀滅的所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁一樣，

以東的河水都要變成石油，它的塵土必變成硫磺，它的地土要變成燒著的石油，晝夜不熄，煙氣永遠上騰，並且必世世代代變為荒涼，永永遠遠無人經過。

我使你在列國中滅亡的消息，傳到你所不認識的列邦的時候，我必使萬族的心感到不安。我在他們面前向你揮動刀劍的時候，他們必因你驚駭，他們的君王也必因你非常恐慌；在你傾覆的日子，他們各人都必為自己的性命時刻戰兢。

巴比倫本是列國中的華美，是迦勒底人引以為傲的榮耀，必像神傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉一樣。

大聲呼叫，這樣說：你們要砍下這樹，削斷枝子，搖落葉子，打散果子，把樹下的走獸趕散，把樹枝上的飛鳥趕走。

因為陀斐特那燒著的火早已安排好了，是為君王預備的，又深又寬；其中所堆的，是火和許多的柴；耶和華的氣像一股硫磺火，把它燃點起來。

就像神傾覆的所多瑪、蛾摩拉，和它們鄰近的城鎮一樣；必沒有人住在那裡，也必沒有人在那裡寄居。”這是耶和華的宣告。

義人看見仇敵遭報就歡喜；他要在惡人的血中洗自己的腳。

你看見的那十角，就是十王，他們還沒有取得王權；但要跟獸一同得著權柄，作王一個時期。他們同心合意，把自己的權力權柄交給那獸。

松樹啊！哀號吧，因為香柏樹已經倒下，雄壯的樹木都毀壞了；巴珊的橡樹啊！哀號吧，因為茂密的樹林被砍下來了。聽牧人們哀號的聲音，因為他們榮美的草場毀壞了；聽少壯獅子吼叫的聲音，因為約旦河邊的叢林毀壞了。

向所多瑪和蛾摩拉，以及平原全地觀望。不料，看見那地有煙上升，好像燒窯的煙一樣。
