有大力之使者、舉石如大磨、投之於海、曰、巴比倫大邑、將如此猛然被投、不復見矣、

言竟則繫書於石、投之百辣河中。曰耶和華降災於巴比倫、使彼困乏、沉而不浮、有如此書、於是耶利米之言畢矣。

我觀有能天使、大聲問曰、誰堪啟其緘、展其册、

我使爾邑歸於烏有、雖索之而莫得、凡見爾若此、必致恐懼、我耶和華已言之矣。

曾幾何時、其人已非、不得其所兮。

鼓琴作樂、品簫吹角之音、不復聞於爾間、百工不復居於爾間、磨聲不再聞於爾間、

我觀有位、甚大色白、與坐之者、天地見之、頓失無所、

倏忽不見、真如夢幻、若夜間異象、頓失無所。

龍戰不利遂不得在天、

如石沉淵、波濤覆之。

北王旋國入城、不久殞沒、歸於烏有、

懼害及身、遙立云巴比倫大邑、素稱鞏固、一時刑至、哀哉、

島嶼已無、山嶺盡失、

我又見有能之天使、自天而降、身衣雲衣、首冠虹冠、容如日、足如火柱、

爾使海中判、民行其間、若履陸地、敵人追襲、爾擲之於深淵、如石投水。
