吾感於聖神時、天使攜我適野、見一婦乘絳獸、首七角十、遍書僭號於體、

我感於神、天使攜我至野、見一婦乘絳獸、獸有七首十角、褻瀆名號、遍書於體、

天神乃攝吾之神魂、入一曠野、見有一婦坐赤獸上；赤獸七首十角、渾身皆僭妄穢褻之名。

隨後，天上出現了另一個徵兆：看哪，一條火紅色的巨龍，有七個頭和十隻角，七個頭上戴著七個王冠。

那婦人就逃到曠野去，在那裡有神已經為她所預備好的地方，好讓她在那裡被供養一千二百六十天。

但那婦人被賜予了大鷹的兩個翅膀，使她可以飛到曠野，到她自己的地方；在那裡她被供養一期，二期，又半期，遠離那蛇的面。

你所看見的那女人，就是那有王權統管地上眾君王的大城。」

隨後，我看見那女人喝醉了聖徒們的血，以及為耶穌做見證之人的血。我看到她就大大驚奇。那位天使對我說：「你為什麼驚奇呢？我要把這女人和馱著她的那七頭十角獸的奧祕告訴你。

「我正在注視這些犄角，看哪，有另一隻小犄角在它們中間長出來，先前的那些犄角中有三隻從牠面前被連根拔出！看哪，這犄角上有眼睛，好像人的眼睛，又有說大話的口！

我也很想知道有關牠頭上的十隻犄角和那另長出的犄角的真義——在這犄角面前有三隻犄角倒下了；這犄角有眼睛，有說大話的口，牠的樣子比牠的同類更大。

於是我在靈裡被天使帶到一座高大的山上。他給我看那從神那裡、從天上降下來的聖城耶路撒冷；

接著，我看見一隻獸從海裡上來。牠有十隻角和七個頭，十隻角上戴著十個王冠，七個頭上都有褻瀆的名號。我所看見的這獸，彷彿一隻豹，牠的腳像熊的腳，口像獅子的口。龍把自己的能力、王位和大權交給了這獸。這獸的七個頭中有一個好像受了致命傷，可是這致命傷得了痊癒。全地的人都感到驚奇，跟隨了這獸。他們膜拜龍，因為牠把權柄交給了獸。他們也膜拜獸，說：「誰能與這獸相比呢？誰能與牠交戰呢？」那獸被賜予了一張說大話和褻瀆話的口；牠又被賜予了權柄，可以任意行事四十二個月。牠就開口向神說褻瀆的話，褻瀆了他的名和他的居所，褻瀆了那些居住在天上的。

「帶有智慧的理性就在這裡。那七個頭就是女人所坐的七座山，也就是七個君王。五個已經倒了，一個還在，另一個還沒有到來；他來的時候，必須存留片刻。那先前在而現今不在的獸，自己就是第八個，也是屬於那七個，並且要走向滅亡。你所看見的那十隻角，是十個王，他們還沒有得到王權，然而他們要得到權柄，與那獸一同做王一段時間。

那女人身穿紫色和深紅色的衣服，以金子、寶石和珍珠為裝飾。她手裡拿著金杯，杯中盛滿了可憎之物和她淫亂的汙穢。

他必說話敵對至高者，折磨至高者的聖徒們，又企圖更改所定的時候和法令；聖徒們將被交在他的手中一期、二期、半期。

他反對一切被稱為神的，或受人敬拜的，他又高抬自己在這一切之上，甚至坐在神的聖所裡宣稱自己是神。

有一個主日，我在靈裡，聽見我後面有一個大聲音，如同號角聲，

我立刻就在靈裡了，看哪，有一個寶座安放在天上，有一位坐在寶座上。

他們從水裡上來的時候，主的靈把腓利提走，太監再也看不見他了。太監繼續趕路，滿心快樂。

「這王任意而行，自高自大，高抬自己超過一切神明，並說荒謬的話來敵對萬神之神；他事事順利，直到憤怒的時期終結，因為那被註定的事必成就。
