And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

爾時七持爵天神之一、來與予語曰：「來、吾欲示以大娼之處決；大娼者、即坐於諸川之上、

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me,“ Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits by many waters.

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came to me. He said,“ Come. I will show you how the great prostitute will be punished. She is the one who sits by many waters.

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me,“ Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters,

One of the seven angels who had poured out the seven bowls came over and spoke to me.“ Come with me,” he said,“ and I will show you the judgment that is going to come on the great prostitute, who rules over many waters.

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me:“ Come, I will show you the judgment of the notorious prostitute who is seated on many waters.

And there came one of the seven angels that had the seven bowls, and spake with me, saying, Come hither, I will show thee the judgment of the great harlot that sitteth upon many waters;

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me:“ Come, I will show you the judgment of the notorious prostitute who sits on many waters.

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke to me.“ Come,” he said,“ I will show you the condemnation and punishment of the great prostitute who sits on many waters,

O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come,[ and] the measure of thy covetousness.

For true and righteous[ are] his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:And upon her forehead[ was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.And here[ is] the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is,[ and] the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him[ are] called, and chosen, and faithful.And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.

And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What[ city is] like unto this great city!And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.

For of old time I have broken thy yoke,[ and] burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot.

But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore.

Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.Behold, I[ am] against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.

And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

After this I looked, and, behold, a door[ was] opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard[ was] as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:
