你们为什么屡次悖逆，继续受责打呢？你们已经满头疼痛，全心发昏；

虽然我想洁净你污秽的淫行，你却不洁净，你的污秽再也不能洁净，直等我止息了向你发的愤怒。

过了多日，耶和华对我说：“你起来往幼发拉底河去，把我命令你藏在那里的腰带取出来。”

约书亚对亚干说：“我儿，我劝你将荣耀归给耶和华—以色列的上帝，在他面前认罪，把你所做的事告诉我，不可向我隐瞒。”

“我使你们在每一座城里牙齿干净，使你们各处的粮食缺乏，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。“在收割的前三个月，我不降雨在你们那里，我降雨在这城，不降雨在那城；这块地有雨，那块无雨的地就必枯干。两三城的人挤到一个城去找水喝，却喝不足，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。“我以焚风和霉烂攻击你们，你们许多的菜园、葡萄园、无花果树、橄榄树屡屡被剪虫所吃，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。“我降瘟疫在你们中间，如在埃及的样子；用刀杀戮你们的年轻人和你们遭掳掠的马匹，营中臭气扑鼻，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。“我倾覆你们，如同上帝从前倾覆所多玛、蛾摩拉一样；你们好像从火中抢救出来的一根柴，你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华说的。“因此，以色列啊，我要如此对待你；因为我要这样对待你，以色列啊，你当预备迎见你的上帝。”

他必经过这地，遇艰难，受饥饿；饥饿的时候，心中焦躁，咒骂自己的君王和上帝。他仰观上天，

耶和华啊，你的眼目不是在寻找诚实吗？你击打他们，他们却不伤恸；你摧毁他们，他们仍不领受管教。他们使脸刚硬过于磐石，不肯回头。

我怕我再来的时候，我的上帝使我在你们面前蒙羞，并且又因许多人从前犯罪，行污秽、淫乱、放荡的事，不肯悔改而悲伤。

风箱吹火，铅被烧毁，炼而又炼，终是徒然，因为恶劣的还未除掉。人必称他们为被抛弃的银子，因为耶和华已经抛弃了他们。

正与他们说话的时候，看哪，使者下到他那里，说：“看哪，这灾祸是从耶和华来的，我何必再仰望耶和华呢？”

我告诉你们，不是的！你们若不悔改，都照样要灭亡！”

这亚哈斯王在急难的时候，越发得罪耶和华。

其余未曾被这些灾难所杀的人仍旧不为自己手所做的悔改，还是去拜鬼魔和那些不能看、不能听、不能走，用金、银、铜、木、石所造的偶像。

我告诉你们，不是的！你们若不悔改，都同样要灭亡！

第五位天使把碗倾倒在兽的座位上，兽的国就变成黑暗。人因疼痛而咬自己的舌头；又因所受的疼痛和生的疮，就亵渎天上的上帝，也没有为他们的行为悔改。
