They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.

又有大冰雹從天掉落在人身上，每一個約重一他連得，以致人因冰雹的災難而褻瀆神，因為那災難太大了。

正在那時候，地大震動，城倒塌了十分之一；因地震而死的有七千人，其餘的都恐懼，歸榮耀給天上的神。

伯沙撒啊，你是他的兒子，你雖知道這一切，卻不謙卑自己，竟向天上的主自高，差人將他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、王后、妃嬪用這器皿飲酒。你又讚美那不能看、不能聽、無知無識，用金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石造的神明，沒有將榮耀歸與那手中掌管你氣息，管理你一切行動的神。

你們為甚麼屢次悖逆，繼續受責打呢？你們已經滿頭疼痛，全心發昏；

雖然我想潔淨你污穢的淫行，你卻不潔淨，你的污穢再也不能潔淨，直等我止息了向你發的憤怒。

過了多日，耶和華對我說：「你起來往幼發拉底河去，把我命令你藏在那裏的腰帶取出來。」

約書亞對亞干說：「我兒，我勸你將榮耀歸給耶和華－以色列的神，在他面前認罪，把你所做的事告訴我，不可向我隱瞞。」

他大聲說：「要敬畏神，把榮耀歸給他，因為他施行審判的時候已經到了。要敬拜那創造天、地、海和水源的主。」

「我使你們在每一座城裏牙齒乾淨，使你們各處的糧食缺乏，你們仍不歸向我。」這是耶和華說的。「在收割的前三個月，我不降雨在你們那裏，我降雨在這城，不降雨在那城；這塊地有雨，那塊無雨的地就必枯乾。兩三城的人擠到一個城去找水喝，卻喝不足，你們仍不歸向我。」這是耶和華說的。「我以焚風和霉爛攻擊你們，你們許多的菜園、葡萄園、無花果樹、橄欖樹屢屢被剪蟲所吃，你們仍不歸向我。」這是耶和華說的。「我降瘟疫在你們中間，如在埃及的樣子；用刀殺戮你們的年輕人和你們遭擄掠的馬匹，營中臭氣撲鼻，你們仍不歸向我。」這是耶和華說的。「我傾覆你們，如同神從前傾覆所多瑪、蛾摩拉一樣；你們好像從火中搶救出來的一根柴，你們仍不歸向我。」這是耶和華說的。「因此，以色列啊，我要如此對待你；因為我要這樣對待你，以色列啊，你當預備迎見你的神。」

他必經過這地，遇艱難，受飢餓；飢餓的時候，心中焦躁，咒罵自己的君王和神。他仰觀上天，

耶和華啊，你的眼目不是在尋找誠實嗎？你擊打他們，他們卻不傷慟；你摧毀他們，他們仍不領受管教。他們使臉剛硬過於磐石，不肯回頭。

我怕我再來的時候，我的神使我在你們面前蒙羞，並且又因許多人從前犯罪，行污穢、淫亂、放蕩的事，不肯悔改而悲傷。

風箱吹火，鉛被燒燬，煉而又煉，終是徒然，因為惡劣的還未除掉。人必稱他們為被拋棄的銀子，因為耶和華已經拋棄了他們。

正與他們說話的時候，看哪，使者下到他那裏，說：「看哪，這災禍是從耶和華來的，我何必再仰望耶和華呢？」

我告訴你們，不是的！你們若不悔改，都照樣要滅亡！」

這亞哈斯王在急難的時候，越發得罪耶和華。

其餘未曾被這些災難所殺的人仍舊不為自己手所做的悔改，還是去拜鬼魔和那些不能看、不能聽、不能走，用金、銀、銅、木、石所造的偶像。

我告訴你們，不是的！你們若不悔改，都同樣要滅亡！

第五位天使把碗傾倒在獸的座位上，獸的國就變成黑暗。人因疼痛而咬自己的舌頭；又因所受的疼痛和生的瘡，就褻瀆天上的神，也沒有為他們的行為悔改。
