又有能力賜給牠，可以把氣息給獸像，使獸像能夠說話，並且能夠殺害那些不拜獸像的人。那從地裡上來的獸，又要所有的人，無論大小貧富，自由的和作奴隸的，都在右手或額上，給自己作個記號。這記號就是獸的名字或獸名的數字，除了那有記號的，誰也不能買，誰也不能賣。在這裡要有智慧。有悟性的人，就讓他計算獸的數字，因為這是人的數字，它的數字是六百六十六。

他們又因為所受的痛苦和所生的瘡，褻瀆天上的神，並不為自己所作的悔改。

耶和華對摩西和亞倫說：“你們要兩手拿滿爐灰，摩西要在法老眼前把爐灰向天上揚起來。這爐灰必在埃及全地變為微塵，在埃及全地的人和牲畜身上就必生出疹病和膿瘡。”摩西和亞倫取了爐灰，站在法老面前；摩西把爐灰向天上揚起來，人和牲畜身上就生出了疹病和膿瘡。眾術士因為生了瘡的緣故，不能站在摩西的面前；因為眾術士和所有埃及人身上都生了瘡。

耶和華必使一切病症離開你；你所知埃及各種的惡疾，他決不加在你身上，卻加在一切恨你的人身上。

你們為甚麼屢次悖逆，還要受責打嗎？你們整個頭都受了傷，整個心都發昏了。從腳掌到頭頂，沒有一處是完全的；盡是創傷、鞭痕和流血的傷口；沒有擠乾淨傷口，沒有包紮，也沒有用膏油滋潤。

因此，主必使錫安的女子頭頂長出禿瘡；耶和華又使她們露出前額。”

耶和華的手重重地壓在亞實突人身上，敗壞他們，用痔瘡擊打亞實突和亞實突四境的人。

他不歸榮耀給神，所以主的使者立刻擊打他，他被蟲咬，就斷了氣。

“耶和華必用埃及人的瘡、痔漏、牛皮癬、紅疹打擊你，這是你不能醫治的。

又有一個乞丐，名叫拉撒路，滿身是瘡，被人放在財主門口，想得財主桌子上掉下來的零碎充飢；並且有狗來舔他的瘡。後來乞丐死了，被天使送到亞伯拉罕的懷裡。那財主也死了，並且埋葬了。

運到那裡以後，耶和華的手攻擊那城，引起很大的恐慌。他擊打全城的人，不分老幼，使痔瘡在他們中間蔓延。

這些事以後，耶和華擊打約蘭，使他的腸臟患了不治之症。

至於你，你的腸臟必患嚴重的病，直到因病情日益嚴重，你的腸子都流出來了。’”

於是撒但從耶和華面前退去，擊打約伯，使他從腳掌到頭頂都生了毒瘡。約伯坐在灰燼中，拿瓦片刮自己。

必有腐臭代替馨香，繩子代替腰帶，光禿代替美髮，麻衣繫腰代替美服，烙痕代替美貌。

他從天空颳起東風，施能力領出南風。

於是那坐在雲上的向地上揮動鐮刀，地上的莊稼就被收割了。
