第一位天使吹响号角的时候，冰雹和火搀杂着血从天上倾盆而下。地的三分之一、树木的三分之一和一切的青草都被烧毁了。

它又获准给怪兽的塑像生命气息，使它不但能说话，还能使所有不敬拜那像的人遭害。它又强迫所有的人，不论老少、尊卑、贫富、自由人或奴隶，都在右手或额上接受印记。凡没有盖上怪兽印记的，就是没有怪兽的名字或代号的，都不能做买卖。这里藏有玄机，聪明的人可以计算那怪兽的代号，因为那是一个人的代号，是“六百六十六”。

他们因为痛苦和毒疮就亵渎天上的上帝，不肯为自己的所作所为悔改。

耶和华对摩西和亚伦说：“你们去取几把窑里的灰，摩西要在法老面前把灰抛向空中。这灰要变成尘土，散布在埃及每一个角落，落在人或牲畜身上，就会起疱长疮。”摩西和亚伦便取了一些窑里的灰，站在法老面前，摩西把灰抛向空中，埃及人和牲畜身上就开始起疱长疮。埃及的巫师无法与摩西对抗，因为他们及所有埃及人身上都长了脓疮。

耶和华要使你们免患疾病，免遭你们在埃及所见的恶疾，祂要把那些恶疾降在一切憎恶你们的人身上。

你们为什么一再叛逆？你们还要受责打吗？你们已经头破血流，身心疲惫。你们已经体无完肤，从头到脚伤痕累累，伤口没有清洗，没有包扎，也没有敷药。

所以，我要使她们头上长疮，露出头皮。”

耶和华重重地惩罚亚实突及附近村庄的居民，使他们都患上毒疮。

希律没有把荣耀归给上帝，主的天使立刻惩罚他，他当场被虫子咬死了。

“祂要使你们患埃及的脓疮、肿瘤和癣疥，无药可治。

又有一个名叫拉撒路的乞丐身上长满了脓疮，被人放在财主家门口。他渴望吃到财主桌上掉下来的食物残渣，却只有狗来舔他的疮。“后来，乞丐死了，天使带他到亚伯拉罕身边。财主也死了，被人埋葬了。

约柜抵达迦特的时候，耶和华攻击那城，使那里的男女老少都患了毒疮，全城惊恐不已。

这事以后，耶和华使约兰患了无法医治的肠病，

你必患严重的肠病，并且日益加重，直到你的肠子掉出来。’”

于是，撒旦从耶和华面前退去，开始加害约伯，使他从头到脚长毒疮。约伯坐在炉灰中，拿瓦片刮身体。

她们的香气将变成臭味，腰带将变成绳子，美发将变成秃头，华服将变成麻衣，美丽的容颜将布满羞辱的烙印。

祂使空中刮起东风，用大能引来南风，

于是，坐在云上的那位便向大地挥动镰刀，把地上的庄稼都收割了。
