在她的额上写着一个奥秘的名号：“大巴比伦，地上的淫妇们和可憎之物的母亲。”

说：“有祸了！有祸了！宏大的城，那曾身穿细麻、紫色、深红色衣服，以金子、宝石、珍珠为装饰的城啊！这么多的财富，竟然在一时之间就化为乌有了！”所有的船长、所有到处航行的人、水手们、所有靠海为业的人，都远远地站着。他们看着焚烧她时的烟，呼喊说：“哪一个城能与这大城相比呢？”他们把尘土撒在自己头上，哭泣、悲伤，呼喊说：“有祸了！有祸了！宏大的城，所有靠着她在海上有船只的人都因她的财富发了财。她竟然在一时之间就化为乌有了！

另一位天使，就是第二位天使跟着说：“倒塌了！大巴比伦倒塌了！她给万国喝了她淫乱愤怒的酒。”另一位天使，就是第三位天使，跟着他们大声说：“如果有人膜拜那兽和兽像，并在自己额上或手上接受印记，就要喝神愤怒的酒，就是混合在神震怒之杯中那没有稀释的酒。他将要在圣天使们面前、羔羊面前，在烈火和硫磺中受折磨。

他用强有力的声音呼喊说：“倒塌了！大巴比伦倒塌了！她成了鬼魔居住的地方、一切污灵的巢穴、一切污秽鸟类的巢穴、一切污秽可憎野兽的巢穴。
