我來如盜、儆醒而守其衣者福矣、免裸行而見羞也、

主曰、我必襲爾、如盜猝至、當儆醒守厥衣服、以免裸裎、庶無愧怍、得蒙福祉、

主曰、我來、如盜猝至、凡警醒守衣、免其裸身現醜者有福、

我來有如不速之客。人能恆自警惕、守其所服、毋使赤身露體、自彰其醜、斯為有福。

I counsel thee to buy of me gold refined by fire, that thou mayest become rich; and white garments, that thou mayest clothe thyself, and that the shame of thy nakedness be not made manifest; and eyesalve to anoint thine eyes, that thou mayest see.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

if so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.It is as when a man, sojourning in another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, to each one his work, commanded also the porter to watch.Watch therefore: for ye know not when the lord of the house cometh, whether at even, or at midnight, or at cockcrowing, or in the morning;lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Remember therefore how thou hast received and didst hear; and keep it, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.But thou hast a few names in Sardis that did not defile their garments: and they shall walk with me in white; for they are worthy.

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.When they are saying, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall in no wise escape.

Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour.

Wherefore watch ye, remembering that by the space of three years I ceased not to admonish every one night and day with tears.

so then let us not sleep, as do the rest, but let us watch and be sober.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

But watch ye at every season, making supplication, that ye may prevail to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and will spare no man.

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore of sound mind, and be sober unto prayer:

Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them sit down to meat, and shall come and serve them.And if he shall come in the second watch, and if in the third, and find them so, blessed are those servants.But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and not have left his house to be broken through.Be ye also ready: for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh.And Peter said, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even unto all?And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall set over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

And when Moses saw that the people were broken loose,( for Aaron had let them loose for a derision among their enemies,)

Woe unto him that giveth his neighbor drink, to thee that addest thy venom, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!

lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.

therefore behold, I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them against thee on every side, and will uncover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.
