But evil people and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

Now when I heard these words, I sat down and wept and mourned for days; and I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.

“ Artaxerxes, king of kings, to Ezra the priest, the scribe of the Law of the God of heaven, perfect peace. And now

So they answered us as follows, saying,‘ We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and finished.But because our fathers provoked the God of heaven to wrath, He handed them over to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the Chaldean, who destroyed this temple and deported the people to Babylon.

Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven, it shall be done with zeal for the house of the God of heaven, so that there will not be wrath against the kingdom of the king and his sons.

so that they may offer acceptable sacrifices to the God of heaven and pray for the lives of the king and his sons.

Give thanks to the God of heaven, For His faithfulness is everlasting.

Then the king said to me,“ What would you request?” So I prayed to the God of heaven.

And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.

So he said to them,“ I am a Hebrew, and I fear the Lord God of heaven who made the sea and the dry land.”
