你們要讚美耶和華，要向耶和華唱新歌，在聖民的會中讚美他。

所有航海的和海中所充滿的，眾海島和其上的居民哪！你們都要向耶和華唱新歌，從地極向他發出讚美。

立刻，我在靈裡，就看見有一個寶座，設立在天上，有一位坐在寶座上。那位坐著的，看來好像碧玉和紅寶石，又有彩虹圍繞著寶座，看來好像綠寶石。寶座的周圍有二十四個座位，上面坐著二十四位長老，身穿白衣，頭戴金冠。有閃電、響聲、雷轟從寶座中發出；又有七枝火炬在寶座前點著，這就是神的七靈。寶座前有一個看來好像水晶的玻璃海。在寶座中間和寶座周圍有四個活物，前後布滿了眼睛。第一個活物像獅子，第二個活物像牛犢，第三個活物的臉面像人，第四個活物像飛鷹。四個活物各有六個翅膀，裡外布滿了眼睛。他們晝夜不停地說：“聖哉！聖哉！聖哉！主、全能的神，昔在、今在、以後要來的那一位。”每逢四個活物把榮耀、尊貴、感謝獻給那坐在寶座上，活到永永遠遠的那一位的時候，二十四位長老就俯伏在坐在寶座上那一位的面前，敬拜那活到永永遠遠的，又把他們的冠冕放在寶座前，說：“主、我們的神，你是配得榮耀、尊貴、權能的，因為你創造了萬有，萬有都是因著你的旨意而存在，而被造的。”

你們要向耶和華唱新歌，因為他行了奇妙的事；他的右手和他的聖臂，為他施行拯救。

你們要向耶和華唱新歌，全地都要向耶和華歌唱。

神啊！我要向你唱新歌，我要用十弦琴向你歌唱。

聖靈向眾教會所說的話，有耳的就應當聽。得勝的，我必定把那隱藏的嗎哪賜給他，並且賜他一塊白石，石上寫著新的名字，這名字除了那領受的人以外，是沒有人能知道的。’

你們要向他唱新歌，在歡呼聲中巧妙地彈奏。

他使我口唱新歌，讚美我們的神；許多人看見了，就必懼怕，並且要倚靠耶和華。

他們唱著神僕人摩西的歌和羊羔的歌，說：“主啊！全能的神，你的作為又偉大又奇妙！萬國的王啊，你的道路又公義又真實！

就在那時候，耶穌說：“父啊，天地的主，我讚美你，因為你把這些事向智慧和聰明的人隱藏起來，卻向嬰孩顯明。父啊，是的，這就是你的美意。我父已經把一切交給我；除了父沒有人認識子，除了子和子所願意啟示的人，沒有人認識父。

耶和華把心意向敬畏他的人顯示，又使他們認識他的約。

因為十字架的道理，對走向滅亡的人來說是愚笨的，但對我們這些得救的人，卻是神的大能。

然而屬血氣的人不接受神的靈的事，因為他以為是愚笨的；而且他也不能夠明白，因為這些事，要有屬靈的眼光才能領悟。
