而是凭着那像羔羊一样毫无瑕疵、毫无玷污的基督宝血。基督在创世以前就已经被神预先知道，又在这末后的时代为你们的缘故显明出来。

就如他从创世以前，在基督里拣选了我们，使我们在他面前成为圣洁、毫无瑕疵。他在爱中，

那时王要对在他右边的人说：‘来吧，蒙我父所祝福的人哪，来继承创世以来已经为你们所预备好的国度吧！

你所看见的那兽，先前在而现今不在，并将要从无底坑里上来，然后走向灭亡。住在地上的人，凡是名字从创世以来没有被记在生命册上的，看见那先前在而现今不在，并将要出现的兽时，都会感到惊奇。

那得胜的，将要同样穿上白衣，我绝不从生命册上抹去他的名字；而且我将要在我父面前、在我父的众天使面前，承认他的名字。

他们大声说：“那被杀的羔羊配接受权能、财富、智慧、力量、尊贵、荣耀和颂赞！”

这是基于那永恒生命的盼望，而这盼望是那不撒谎的神在亘古以前所应许的。

第二天，约翰看见耶稣向他走来，就说：“看哪，神的羔羊，除去世人罪孽的！

凡是不洁净的，行可憎和虚假之事的人，绝不能进到城内；唯有名字被记在羔羊生命册上的才能进去。

“末后的时期，守护你子民的伟大护卫天使米迦勒必站出来；并且会有一段患难的时期，自从有国家以来直到那时候未曾有过；末后的时期，你的子民中凡是被记在那册子上的，都必得救。

随后，我看见在宝座和四个活物当中，在长老们当中，站着一只羔羊，好像是被杀过的。羔羊有七只角和七只眼，那七只眼就是神的七个灵，是奉差派往全地去的。羔羊上前去，从坐在宝座上那一位的右手中拿了书卷。他一接到书卷，四个活物和二十四位长老就俯伏在羔羊面前，他们各拿着一把竖琴和盛满香的金碗；这些香就是圣徒们的祷告。他们唱着一首新歌，说：“你配接受那书卷，配打开它的封印，因为你曾被杀，用自己的血，从各支派、各语言群体、各民族、各国家，为神赎回了人，

但不要因为邪灵服从了你们就欢喜，要因为你们的名字已经被记录在天上而欢喜。”

是的，我真诚的同伴哪！我也请求你帮助她们两位。她们在福音工作上曾经与我、克莱门斯，和我的其他同工们一起奋战，这些人的名字都在生命册上。

因为你遵守了我忍耐的教导，我还要保守你脱离那试炼的时刻，就是那将要临到普天下，考验住在地上之人的时刻。

看哪，我站在门口敲门。如果有人听见我的声音就开门，我就会进到他那里，而且我与他、他与我，将要一同吃宴席。

那时，残留在锡安、余剩在耶路撒冷的人，就是所有在耶路撒冷、记在生命册上的人，必被称为圣；

这兽的七个头中有一个好像受了致命伤，可是这致命伤得了痊愈。全地的人都感到惊奇，跟随了这兽。他们膜拜龙，因为它把权柄交给了兽。他们也膜拜兽，说：“谁能与这兽相比呢？谁能与它交战呢？”

藉着那些奇迹，就是它被准许在第一只兽面前所行的奇迹，它就迷惑了住在地上的人，告诉住在地上的人，要为那受刀伤却活过来的兽，造一个像。它又被准许把气息给那兽像，甚至使那兽像能说话，又使所有不膜拜那兽像的人都被杀死。

蛇就在那妇人后面，从口里吐出水来，像江河一样，要把她冲走。
