凡虜人者、亦將見虜於人、以刃殺人者、亦將見殺於人、聖徒之恆忍信主、於此可見、

掳掠人的，必被掳掠；用刀杀人的，必被刀杀。圣徒的忍耐和信心就是在此。

凡宜見虜者則見虜、以刃殺人者、則必見殺於刃、諸聖徒之忍與信在此矣、○

凡擄人者亦見擄、以刃殺人者亦被刃殺、聖徒之恆忍與信在此矣、○

引人入甕者終必自入甕中；殺人以刀者、終必自傷刀下。諸聖之恆忍堅信、於是乎存。

“ If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed.” This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people.

“ Everyone who is supposed to be captured will be captured. Everyone who is supposed to be killed by a sword will be killed by a sword.”( Jeremiah 15:2) So God’s people must be patient and faithful.

If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes; if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.

Anyone who is destined for prison will be taken to prison. Anyone destined to die by the sword will die by the sword. This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently and remain faithful.

If anyone is to be taken captive, into captivity he goes. If anyone is to be killed with a sword, with a sword he will be killed. This calls for endurance and faithfulness from the saints.

如彼詰爾當往何處、爾必傳我命、告之曰、當死則死、當殺則殺、當饑則饑、當虜則虜。

人不虐爾、而爾虐人、人不誣爾、而爾誣人、禍將及矣、爾以誣虐施諸人、則人待爾亦若是、

在世必有患難、試天下億兆、我道貴忍、爾既守之、故我必範衛爾、

兄弟當忍、待主降臨、如地產嘉穀、農夫忍待、望秋霖春雨、爾亦當忍、堅爾心、主臨伊邇、

耶穌曰、斂爾刃入鞘、凡試刃者、必以刃亡、

爾當強忍存心、

聖徒之恆忍、守上帝命及耶穌道、於此益見、

爾勿惰慢、昔諸信主恆忍者、彼獲所許之福、爾其則傚、

或獸傷人、或人相殺、凡流血殞命、殘害兄弟者、我必伸其冤。余造世人、與我維肖、故流人血者、人必流其血。

我知爾所為、勤勞忍難、為惡者弗包容、非使徒而冒稱者、爾已試之、知其妄言、

爾必恆忍遵上帝命、以得所許之福、主來不濡滯、其至在須臾、

既至、必擊埃及人、或亡於疾病、或戮於鋒刃、或被虜而去。

惟耶和華是賴、望其拯救、必蒙福祉兮。

耶穌言人當祈禱不怠、設譬、曰、邑有士師、不畏上帝、不禮世人、有嫠入見曰、有仇我者、請伸我冤、久而不許、後自思曰、我雖不畏上帝、不禮世人、但嫠再三瀆我、必伸其冤、免恆至聒我、主曰、聽不義士師所言、上帝選民、晝夜籲禱、其應或遲、豈不終伸其冤乎、吾語汝、冤之伸也忽焉、人子至、詎見信於世乎、○

我知爾所為敦仁服勞、信道恆忍、前此所為、不如今日、

余約翰與爾曹為兄弟、共忍患難於耶穌基督之國、為傳上帝道、及耶穌基督言、昔在拔摩嶼、

彼流先知聖徒之血、今主以血賜飲亦合乎宜、

兄弟歷試諸艱、當以為喜、因知爾信主、試以艱難、則忍自生、惟恆忍至極、則全備無缺、

所受所聞之道、爾當服膺、而悛厥過、如爾不儆醒、我必襲爾、猶盜猝至、爾不能料其何時、

默示之事、屆期必成、終有效驗、不辜所望、歷時雖久、終當靜俟、是事必應、不復濡滯、

越在疇昔、人殺選民、瘞埋其血、今必昭然顯露、蓋耶和華勃興、降罰於世、以彰厥罪焉。

以色列族為異邦人所扶翼、旋返桑梓、即耶和華駐蹕之所、得異邦人為僕為婢、供其服役、昔則見擄於人、今則擄人、昔則受制於人、今則制人。

人以橫逆相加、彼忍之、爾當追思、勿怠爾志、勿喪爾膽、爾與惡相敵、未嘗扞禦流血、

又願爾得主大力、實能忍耐喜樂、

爾度人若何、則見度亦如是、

如有他害、則當以命償命。目償目、齒償齒、手償手、足償足、爇償爇、痍償痍、擊償擊。
